Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Arena of United Spirits

The central square beside the factory and the Petronas Twin Towers had been transformed into a grand open arena for the day. Bright banners in Tempest's colors fluttered from tall poles, and large screens stood on every side so the entire crowd could follow the matches. Rows of comfortable seats filled the space, while food stalls offered fresh Satay, Nasi Lemak, and other warm dishes prepared by Shuna's team. The fiber network carried every game feed perfectly, allowing smooth viewing even for those watching from distant towns.

Rimuru stood at the center of the raised stage, his presence calm and welcoming. "Today we hold Tempest's first official gaming tournament. We gather not only to compete but to celebrate the joy of play and the strength of teamwork. Let every match remind us that together we are stronger."

Milim hopped onto the stage beside him, her eyes shining with excitement. "I cannot wait! We will have matches in Dota 2, Crimson Desert team battles, and even Mobile Legends. The winners get special prizes from the labyrinth, and everyone gets to cheer for their friends!"

Ramiris floated above the stage, sprinkling sparkling lights that danced over the crowd. "The screens will show every move clearly. I made sure the graphics look beautiful so no one misses a single detail."

Veldora stood with steady dignity, his voice carrying Takumi's words for all to hear. "Takumi says this tournament honors the spirit of fair play he knew in his old world. The games teach strategy, quick thinking, and trust in teammates. Let us enjoy them with open hearts."

Gobta stood near the front row, already wearing a small team sash. "I signed up for Mobile Legends! My team will charge in and win every match. Who wants to cheer for us?"

Gabiru raised his spear high from the lizardmen section. "My warriors enter the Dota 2 bracket. We fight with honor and learn from every round."

Shuna moved among the seats, offering trays of snacks with gentle smiles. "Please eat and enjoy. Watching friends compete is best when shared with good food."

Benimaru stood at the edge of the arena, his sharp gaze focused on the control booth. "The matches will run on schedule. We have divided the brackets fairly so every team has a chance to shine."

Diablo observed from a quiet corner, his crimson eyes calm. "Security is perfect. No outside interference will disturb the joy. The network also lets distant villages watch live, so the whole federation feels part of the day."

Souei remained unseen yet watchful, ensuring every corner stayed safe.

The first match began in Dota 2. Team Tempest, led by Rimuru, faced a group of skilled goblin players. The large screens showed the arena clearly. Rimuru moved his hero with calm precision, calling out positions in a steady voice. "Support from the left. We strike together on my mark."

Milim's lightning-fast hero dashed through the jungle, laughing brightly. "I cleared the camp! Coming to help mid lane now!"

Ramiris's tiny archer shot arrows from safety, her voice full of delight. "My shots hit the weak spots! Keep pushing!"

The crowd cheered as the team coordinated a perfect fight. Victory music played, and the words "Team Tempest Wins!" appeared on every screen. Milim jumped up and waved to the audience. "We did it! The teamwork felt so strong. Thank you, everyone who cheered for us!"

The next round featured Gobta's Mobile Legends team against a mixed group of orcs and lizardmen. Gobta charged forward on screen, shouting encouragement. "I hold the front! You strike from the sides!" His tank hero absorbed heavy attacks while teammates dealt damage. The match ended in a thrilling comeback, and Gobta raised his arms in triumph. "We turned it around together! This game teaches us never to give up."

Gabiru's Dota 2 match followed, his warrior leading a fierce push. "For the tribe! We take the tower as one!" The lizardmen team moved with disciplined coordination, winning the game through careful planning. Gabiru bowed to the crowd. "Every lesson from this arena makes us better protectors of our home."

Throughout the day, matches continued in Crimson Desert team battles. Milim led one group across the golden dunes, her warrior fighting beside friends in a shared adventure. "The boss is huge, but we are stronger together! Aim for the glowing weak point!" The team defeated the creature in a bright flash, and Milim cheered with the audience. "Multiplayer makes the desert feel less lonely. I love sharing these battles!"

Between rounds, the central stage hosted short interviews. Rimuru spoke simply. "These tournaments show that games are not only for fun. They teach us to listen, to trust, and to grow side by side. Takumi's world has given us a beautiful way to strengthen our federation."

Veldora added Takumi's words with warm clarity. "Takumi says watching you all compete fills him with the same happiness he felt playing with friends long ago. The fiber network lets every citizen join future events, even from far away. This is how we build unity—one match at a time."

Shuna presented prizes at the end of each bracket: special glowing controllers, custom PC skins inspired by Tempest heroes, and free meals at the Night Market for a full month. "These gifts are small tokens of our thanks. The true reward is the joy we share today."

As the sun began to lower, the final championship match in Dota 2 took place. Team Tempest faced a strong alliance of merchants and guards. The crowd fell silent as the arena unfolded on the screens. Rimuru guided with steady calls. Milim dashed with bold energy. Ramiris supported with precise shots. The rest of the team moved in perfect harmony. When the ancient exploded in victory, the entire square erupted in cheers.

Milim raised her arms high. "We are champions together! This tournament was the best day ever!"

Rimuru stepped forward once more. "Thank you, everyone who played and everyone who cheered. Let this be the first of many tournaments. Through games we learn, laugh, and grow closer as one federation."

The crowd cheered again as music from the Night Market drifted across the square. Families lingered, sharing stories of favorite moments. Children practiced moves they had seen on screen. Merchants discussed new ideas for using the factory machines in their work.

Veldora stood with Rimuru, his mature voice quiet. "Takumi says the sight of so many smiling faces makes the long nights of planning worth every moment. The tournaments will become a living tradition."

Rimuru nodded with deep satisfaction. "They will remind us that strength comes not only from power but from shared joy. The gaming culture we have built is now part of Tempest's heart."

The square slowly emptied as evening lights came on, yet the spirit of the day remained. Matches would continue in the factory and the private sanctuary, but the public tournament had united the federation in a new and wonderful way. Laughter, strategy, and friendship had flowed freely under the open sky.

Milim skipped beside Ramiris toward the Night Market. "Next time we add a Crimson Desert tournament! The desert battles will be even more exciting with prizes!"

Ramiris giggled. "Yes! And I will make the prizes sparkle like stars."

The towers gleamed in the distance, the factory hummed softly, and Tempest's gaming tournaments had begun their own bright chapter—one filled with friendly rivalry, shared victories, and the simple joy of playing together.
