"People are saying Kevin Goodman's wife is dead."
Isabella's heart skipped, but she quickly composed herself, "People say many things online."
"So you don't know anything?" Nathan asked.
The last time they had both seen Loretta was a few days ago. She had looked healthy and seemed to be doing well with Kevin. Although Isabella had told him then that their relationship was not so great, he had never imagined things were bad enough that she would not know whether her own sister was alive or not.
Isabella swallowed as her mother's warning and her father's words came back to her. She could not tell him the truth but she at least had to say something. "My family has actually been trying to reach Loretta for days."
Nathan frowned on the other end.
