He felt a bit awkward especially with how drunk everyone was or how high everyone was. but he had to make connections for your sisters career.
then he saw her, Gabby looking annoyed as she walked away from her current boyfriend Paul. He couldn't tell what happened but maybe he should see if she's ok*

*The canned smile she'd been forcing all night fractures at the edges, real vulnerability slipping through.*
