Chapter 3 - married in ruthless billionaire

Rathore Mansion

As Dhiren and Veeren walked out of the Rathore mansion…

One by one, the guests silently began to leave—offering a few words of comfort to Baldev before disappearing into the night.

Kartikeya, burning with rage, turned and walked toward the sofa.

But as he moved—

Babli was pulled along with him.

Their wedding scarves had been tied together.

He stopped abruptly.

She, with her head lowered, didn't notice—

…and walked straight into him.

Kartikeya didn't budge even an inch.

Babli, however—

"Ouchhh… Ammaaa…" she muttered, rubbing her forehead.

Kartikeya snapped, irritated—

"Hey you. What now? Planning to follow me everywhere?"

Startled, Babli quickly stepped back, lowering her gaze even more.

Only then did Kartikeya notice the knot tying them together.

He was about to walk away—

"Stop."

Janhvi stepped forward, angrily trying to untie the knot.

Savitradevi's voice cut through—

"Don't, bahu. Untying a wedding knot like this is considered inauspicious."

Janhvi turned, furious—

"Inauspicious? What wedding? Whose wedding? This is nothing but a forced tie around my son's neck!"

She looked at Babli with disgust—

"Just look at her! Does she match my Kartikeya in any way? Such a… village girl. I don't accept this marriage. We'll get them divorced soon and find someone worthy for him."

She tried again to untie the knot.

Savitradevi's tone hardened—

"You may do whatever you want later, Janhvi. But right now, this knot will not be untied."

She paused—

"This doesn't mean I've accepted her as my granddaughter-in-law. But the marriage has happened… in front of God and the sacred fire. Kartikeya has filled her hair with sindoor."

Her voice softened, but carried weight—

"I will not risk my grandson's life by inviting bad omens."

Janhvi fell silent… but stormed away in anger.

Just then—

Rajni (Riya's mother) stepped forward, furious—

"So this is it? Everyone is worried about Kartikeya… but no one cares that my daughter was just taken away by a criminal?!"

Before anyone could respond—

Urmila (Kartikeya's aunt) spoke coldly—

"Rajni ji, if you're planning to blame us for that… drop the idea right here."

She scoffed—

"What your 'well-mannered' daughter did in front of everyone… with that man…"

She stopped, disgusted—

"I feel ashamed even saying it."

Virendra Singh's anger exploded—

"Baldev! What is she saying? You cannot insult my daughter like this!"

Abhay Singh stepped forward calmly—

"Urmila isn't wrong, Virendra Singh. Before pointing fingers, maybe you should look within. Was your daughter truly as 'cultured' as you claimed?"

Virendra shot back—

"Oh really? Until yesterday, you all couldn't stop praising her! And now suddenly, she's flawed?"

Urmila smirked—

"We found out after the engagement, Mr. Raichand. But to avoid disgrace… we stayed silent."

Rajni snapped—

"We didn't need to trap anyone! Our business is just as big as yours. We had countless proposals better than Kartikeya. We agreed only because of your friendship with Virendra!"

Urmila laughed softly—

"You're mistaken, Mrs. Raichand. Everyone in Delhi already knew about your daughter's reputation. That's why no marriage was happening."

Her voice turned sharp—

"And the moment Baldev proposed… you didn't even think twice."

Rajni's face stiffened—

"Then why did you come to us with the proposal? We didn't beg at your door."

The tension escalated—

Voices rising. Accusations flying.

And then—

"Enough!"

Janhvi's voice echoed from the staircase.

"When the wedding was about to happen, you were all hugging each other like family. And now this circus? This is Rathore Mansion—not a slum!"

Urmila shot back—

"Tell that to your friend."

Rajni snapped—

"So now you're calling me a slum woman?"

Urmila shrugged—

"I didn't say that. You did."

Neither of them was ready to back down.

Savitradevi watched silently.

Janhvi, overwhelmed, sat down on the stairs holding her head.

Rajni said bitterly—

"Good that we saw your true faces today. Otherwise, we would have regretted giving our daughter to this family."

Urmila crossed her arms—

"You forced your daughter into this marriage to hide her habits… didn't you?"

Rajni faltered for a moment—

"I… I'm not scared. If my daughter isn't at fault…"

Urmila smiled coldly—

"Then let's see the truth."

She unlocked her phone.

Just then—

A strange sound filled the hall.

Snoring.

Everyone looked around, confused.

And then they saw—

Babli.

Curled up on the sofa… fast asleep.

Snoring peacefully. 😴

As if none of this chaos concerned her.

As if she was saying—

"You all fight… I'll take a nap." 😆

Baldev and Janhvi exchanged helpless looks.

Savitradevi… smiled faintly.

Meanwhile—

Urmila pressed play.

A voice recording echoed through the hall.

Rajni and Riya's conversation.

Everyone went silent.

Listening.

Watching.

Rajni lowered her head.

Virendra stared at her in anger.

At that moment—

Kartikeya stepped out of his room, furious, ready to stop everything.

But as the recording played—

He froze.

Right where he stood.

The entire Rathore family slowly gathered around Urmila.

Listening.

Waiting.

To be continued…
