Chapter 6 - The Crystallis Race

'How could I still slip deeper? Am I going to the other side of the world, come onnnnn,' he thought, frustrated; it wasn't fun anymore.

Bursting out of the tunnel, finally, he got a glimpse of a beautiful cave with a lake in the centre.

Illuminated by the beautiful white mushrooms, the cave didn't have any dark corners. Colourful insects decorated its walls, and tiny birds singing echoed.

Nearby the small, red bark, cyan-blue petaled trees glimmered peacefully.

A little blue lizard was happily drinking from the lake, the clear blue water of it, mirrored the whole scene of the cave like a halo from the heaven.

Dropping straight into the water, he scared the lizard, who escaped with his tail between his legs.

The ice cold water made him shiver, and picked his now opened wounds on his hand.

Swiftly swimming towards the shore, he found a small place near the trees, and took most of his clothes off.

'H-h-h-ho, h-o-w is-isss, th-th-th-is water soo cold, it's not even winter yet,' he thought, his teeth chattering.

He knew leaving his wet clothes on would only make it worse. Stripping most of his clothes down, he tried to find some wood to make fire.

Looking at the red trees beside him, he found some fallen branch. He went there wanting to pick it up. As his hand picked one up, a huge whipping sound echoed in the forest scaring the birds away.

A red mark appeared on his back, and he screamed:

'Who dares to hit me, you shameless, insolent cave resident.'

His eyebrows pricked together,

scanning the surroundings for the perpetrator.

A quiet whiny sound from behind him, laughed. Looking at it, one of the little red trees, was moving strangely as if it was laughing, its branches falling around.

Making Morvadeus angry was never a good idea, taking this little tree, he took its branches in his hand and started to twist it.

"See if I don't make you a cloth dryer today!" He twisted its branches, nearly breaking it.

"You dare to hit me? I your father will scold you, like my mom did to my dad!" his cute upset face, exclaimed.

He smacked the branch a couple of times, which also didn't leave herself undefended. It coiled around Morvadeus trying to take him down.

Both the little tree and the child rolled on the ground, fighting for their survival. But Morvadeus' strength was greater, and was already submitting the tree, smacking it.

"Is your face here, or here?" he asked with each smack.

The tree branch also was fighting back, scratching his little back more, and hitting him with its branches. It left quite a lot of scratch marks on his cute face.

Suddenly the little tree glowed and Morvadeus let it go.

A tiny figure was taking shape, making Morvadeus remain in his defensive stance. A tiny woman appeared, her body made from red crystal, and a beautiful dress ,made of cyan petals decorated it.

The petite woman angrily glared at Morvadeus, her teary eyes gazing at the stranger

"You! You small brute! I, your mom will beat your buttocks, till you won't feel it," she yelled at him, her face full of palm prints.

She ran after the escaping Morvadeus, one of her arms turning into a branch, whipping him from behind.

Morvadeus ran for his life, not wanting to fight with a woman.Feeling injustice, he complained in his heart.

'I am the one being chased? She started this fight 'sigh…

"Stop right there" someone yelled at the tiny woman, making her and Morvadeus stop in their tracks, motionless.

The woman knew she was in trouble, and she actually had the nerve to hide behind Morvadeus saying

"I wasn't the one who started it, this brute wanted to steal my precious branches," she complained to the stranger.

Morvadeus' mind nearly exploded from her insolence, his tiny fist clenched thinking of teaching her a lesson.

"Am I the one in the wrong here? Puny lady, did you grow from your canopy in the ground?" He hissed at her.

He strangely looked at the strangers, trying to figure out the small looking, nevertheless beautiful crystal creatures.

One of the small creatures of his size headed towards him. Its head, a crystal head, and a transparent little body. It was so mesmerizing, the crystal body of his vividly reflected back the colours.

One of the creatures, who yelled at the tiny woman, respectfully greeted him and said.

"Welcome unknown stranger in our world. I'm sorry for the insolence of my sister."

Signalling towards the woman, she abided and coming out from behind Morvadeus, humbly apologized to him.

"My name is Cryunus, the leader of the Crystallis race,"he greeted Morvadeus, holding his crystal hands out.

"My name is Morvadeus, the son of the Draco Emperor and the Empress of Custodia Paxia," he formally greeted him, with the manners, he learned in the palace.

Smacking his sister on the head making a clinging sound as the two crystals collided, she also greeted him.

"I'm his sister, Cryduae. I'm sorry for hitting you," her eyes dropped apologetically.

"But you're not allowed to pick up our fallen branches!" she annoyingly noted, putting her little tongue out.

Morvadeus sighed and accepted her apology, he didn't want a conflict over nothing. Even though his back still itched from the whipping.

Looking at the angry child, who was so noble and extraordinary that he held himself back even in this situation, Cryunus praised him in his mind.

'He is surely extraordinary, the names of his parents aren't simple either.'

Through talking with Morvadeus, they got to know the small, kind kid.

Suddenly Morvadeus' body convulsed, his eyes white showing. He fainted instantly, falling towards the tiny woman.

The reaction of the tiny lady was swift as the lightning.Growing into the size of an adult, she immediately took hold of him.

The now fainted Morvadeus didn't even catch a glimpse of the beautiful woman. His small body was twitching continuously.

Looking at his vine tied hand, the woman removed it swiftly.

"Oh god", she spoke, alarmed by his now blackened hands.

"He is poisoned, and it's starting to act up. We need to hurry, let's bring him with us"

Her stunning hourglass-shaped body, was shimmering with the ruby colour as she ran with the others towards the deeper part of the cave.

A tiny lizard was sleeping beside the bark of a tree, peacefully away from the annoying child, who fell into the water, scaring him.

Suddenly, someone stepped on his tail, making him scream.

"Hissss"

But everybody just ignored, not taking in account. He sadly looked at his tail which fell down, knowing it will be a long time till it grows back again.

The heat coming from the child nearly burnt her arms, making her wonder what kind of poison was inside of him.

"You know we aren't allowed to show this form to others," Cryunus warned her gently, sighing at his sister.

"Don't worry he didn't see me," Cryduae confidently answered, running.

'I'm sorry child, I will cure you as an apology for my behaviour,' she sighed.
