Before I knew it, three years had passed since I first arrived in Orario.
I was now ten years old, and Aiz was nine.
Over those three years, my status had grown considerably, and Aiz had ranked up to LV.3.
"The little brat grew up well."
"Yeah... the same can be said for you, Bellf."
"Not as much as you, though."
As for me, after three years of tearing through the Dungeon with magic swords in hand, I had reached LV.2.

"More importantly... they just keep coming."
"Let's go."
Wielding the black-and-white twin swords, Gan Jiang and Mo Ye, I charged alongside Aiz to intercept the swarming monsters.
Normally, this would have happened in the Dungeon, but we were currently in the middle of Orario.
That's right.
Right now, we were at war with those bastards from Evilus.
The organization known as Evilus was, roughly speaking, a group formed by mad gods who proclaimed themselves evil deities. They had completely seized control of the southeastern streets of Orario.
And thanks to them, I and a few other high-level adventurers were suffering through a nightmare.
The monsters popping up at random were far too much for LV.1 adventurers to handle.
"They're coming again!"
At an adventurer's shout, those who had been taking a brief respite scrambled to grab their weapons.
"Sigh..."
The primary reason I was here was to maintain and repair the adventurers' gear, but more often than not, I found myself fighting with Gan Jiang and Mo Ye in hand.
When a blacksmith has to pick up a sword and fight, you know Orario is in a desperate state.
The situation was dire because Evilus had allied with forces that surpassed even the strongest in the city. Zard, the [Gluttony], and Alfia, the [Stillness] of the Zeus Familia—both of whom were more powerful than the Freya Familia's Ottar and the Loki Familia's Finn Deimna—had turned against Orario. Consequently, anyone LV.2 or higher had to be deployed immediately to the front lines.
"I'm hungry—!"
"Feed us! Give us meat!"
"Potato boy..."
And to top it all off, I was the one responsible for the meals, too.
