Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Key to the Dragon Vein

Hidden beneath Roran was an endless source of Chakra, comparable to—and in some ways even surpassing—the Tailed Beasts.

Only by grasping this incredibly vast power could he have the capital to contend with the "world correction force" that would crush everything in the future, and change his destiny of being doomed to become cannon fodder of the era.

To perfectly undo the Seal and control the Dragon Vein, the Sharingan and brute force alone were not enough.

He also needed a "key," which was the Bloodline of the Queen of Roran.

"Calculating the time, that Sunagakure Rogue Ninja Mukade, using the alias 'Anrokuzan,' should be impatiently preparing to make his move against the current Queen by now."

Yue's footsteps abruptly stopped on a massive steel cantilever.

Below, not far away in the central tower plaza, the area was brightly lit.

Thousands of Roran citizens were gathered there, waving glowsticks and fanatically shouting a name.

"Queen Sara!"

"Queen Sara!"

On the balcony at the top of the dizzyingly high tower, a beautiful girl with vibrant red hair, a delicate face, and a somewhat naive aura was smiling and waving to the people below.

She was the current Queen of Roran, Sara.

"Found her." Yue looked down at his "key" from his high vantage point, not in a hurry to act.

He knew that to make this naive and simple Queen, who had been brainwashed by Anrokuzan, behave, a perfectly timed act of "the hero saving the beauty" would be far more effective than any Genjutsu.

While Sara was immersed in the cheers of the people with a face full of smiles, an expressionless maid in the shadows behind her suddenly moved like a marionette.

The maid stepped forward silently, reached out both hands, and gave the defenseless Sara a hard shove in the back!

"Ah—!"

Sara let out a shrill scream. Her body instantly lost balance, cleared the low railing, and fell directly from the balcony at the top of the tower, hundreds of meters high!

In the plaza below, the originally fanatical cheers instantly turned into endless horror and screams.

The gale howled wildly in Sara's ears, and the intense feeling of weightlessness made her mind go blank instantly.

Looking at the hard ground below, which was expanding like the mouth of a giant abyss, tears of despair welled up in her eyes.

"Someone... save me..."

At this life-and-death moment, just as Sara thought she was certain to die!

Swish—!

A black figure, like a blade tearing out of the night sky, dived down at extreme speed from the pipes above, defying the laws of physics!

In mid-air, Uchiha Yue accurately caught Sara's slender waist in his arm.

"What?!" Sara opened her eyes in terror, and what met her gaze was a billowing black robe.

Yue made no unnecessary movements; with a flick of his right wrist, a Kunai connected to an extremely thin, specialized steel wire shot out instantly.

Clang!

The Kunai embedded itself firmly into a thick metal support pillar dozens of meters away.

"Hold on tight, Your Majesty." Yue's deep and magnetic voice rang in Sara's ear.

Using the powerful tension of the steel wire, the terrifying momentum of their descent was instantly redirected into a massive pendulum arc.

Amidst the howling night wind and the interlacing purple Chakra glow below, the youth in the black robe held the red-haired girl with one arm, tracing a thrilling and elegant giant arc in mid-air, swinging directly toward a building on the other side.

Thud!

Uchiha Yue landed steadily on a secluded high-level terrace, far from the clamor of the plaza.

The massive impact caused the stone slabs beneath his feet to crack into several spider-web-like patterns, but Sara, held tightly in his arms, didn't even have a single hair harmed.

The night wind brushed past, blowing Yue's black high-collared robe.

His profile, which appeared somewhat cold in the shadows, and his dark eyes that seemed to pierce into one's soul, were deeply imprinted into Sara's panic-stricken gaze.

"You... who are you?"

Sara leaned blankly in Yue's arms, feeling his steady heartbeat; even her breathing became hurried.

The Uchiha's looks were, after all, simply too top-tier.

However, Yue didn't have much interest in this.

He slowly loosened his grip and placed Sara steadily on the ground.

"Don't be afraid, I'm just a passing... Konoha Ninja."

"A Konoha Ninja..."

Sara blankly repeated the words, her heart still racing.

"You... why did you save me?"

Sara finally regained her composure and took half a step back from Yue's arms. Although she tried to feign the dignity of a Queen, the trembling in her voice betrayed her fear, as well as a bit of a young girl's shyness.

"Because I'm a passing good guy." Uchiha Yue casually made up a reason that even Naruto wouldn't believe, then cut straight to the point.

"However, Your Majesty, instead of why I saved you, shouldn't you first think about who wants to kill you? For example, Anrokuzan?"

"Kill me?"

Sara seemed to have heard some ridiculous joke and shook her head repeatedly.

"Impossible! That was just an accident! I just accidentally slipped... Lord Anrokuzan governs the country so well, and the people all love me. Why would he want to kill me? I must go back and find Lord Anrokuzan immediately; he will definitely find out the truth!"

Looking at the marionette before him who had been protected so well she was naive to the point of stupidity, Uchiha Yue did not shout impatiently like the Naruto of the original story, trying to correct her with hollow words like "Anrokuzan is a bad person."

For a deeply brainwashed person, directly negating her beliefs would only provoke her instinctive defensiveness and resistance.

Yue understood the weaknesses of human nature well.

To deal with this situation, the most effective method was not preaching, but Genjutsu.

"An accident?"

Yue chuckled, a laugh tinged with thirty percent pity and seventy percent mockery.

He slowly walked up to Sara, and his crimson Three-Tomoe Sharingan instantly bloomed with a dark light.

"Look into my eyes, Queen Sara. Recall the second before you fell—what exactly did your back feel?"

Yue's Genjutsu was not used for attack, but like a hypnotist's pocket watch, it instantly plunged Sara into an extremely focused memory recall.

Under the guidance of the Sharingan, that segment of memory in Sara's mind, which had become blurred due to extreme terror, was slowed down frame by frame and clearly reconstructed.

She "saw" herself waving to the people below.

She "saw" that maid, who was usually respectful to her, silently walk up behind her.

She clearly felt the hands that pushed against her back—those were not human hands at all!

They were cold, hard, and had a metallic, mechanical texture!

"Ah!!"

The Genjutsu was released, and Sara woke up with a start, clutching her chest and panting heavily, her forehead covered in cold sweat.

"Remembered now?" Yue leaned leisurely against the railing, his knuckles lightly tapping the cold metal. "The one who pushed you wasn't a person, but a mechanical Puppet wearing human skin. And in all of Roran, who else but Minister Anrokuzan, who has been 'devotedly' assisting you, could control such a sophisticated Puppet?"

"No... that's impossible! Lord Anrokuzan, he..."

Sara's face was as pale as paper, but she was still making a final struggle.

"Wanting evidence is actually very simple."

"Words can be fabricated, and memories can be deceptive, but facts will not be." Uchiha Yue grabbed Sara's wrist, giving her no chance to escape. "Since you think I'm lying, then as the Queen of Roran, do you have the courage to come with me and see what exactly is hidden beneath this 'prosperous age' of yours?"

"I... I..."

Yue didn't give Sara any time to hesitate; he directly pulled Sara's small hand and left quickly.

Making Sara believe—how could that be anything but simple?
