We pushed the soldiers hard and arrived at the outskirts of Philander in just four days.
Upon entering the outside of the Imperial Castle in battle formation, we were greeted by Julitan and Eric, the two commanders of the Eastern Imperial Army.
With proper decorum, Julitan kneeled and reported, "We reclaimed the palace last night, Your Majesty. Currently, the rebels are engaged with the imperial forces near the south gate of Philander."
The palace had been reclaimed. Pargos had started all this for a dream that would crumble in just a week.
Suppressing my rising irritation, I first commended the two commanders for regaining the Imperial Palace.
"It is all thanks to your swift response. I appreciate it."
"We merely did what we had to do," they replied.
"So, the palace is sorted out then?"
