Haven clenched his fist tightly and took a deep breath.
‘Am I fully upholding my responsibilities? Have I proven myself enough?’
He wondered if he was confident enough to introduce himself as Duke Dehart in front of Raviel and confess how long he had been missing her.
Exhaling slowly, Haven picked up his sword again. As he mounted his horse, Edwin rose to follow.
"Where are we going?" he asked.
"Time to finish this," Haven replied, looking toward the battle that was yet to end.
"Don’t you ever get tired, Your Grace?"
Despite grumbling, Edwin too mounted his horse. A spark seemed to ignite in his green eyes as he drew his sword.
As Haven and Edwin charged off, Genise, who had been sitting a bit away, threw her water bottle and stood up irritably.
"Oh, those lunatics."
She questioned herself why she was here enduring this hardship. She swore she would go back home after this battle. Repeating her usual promise, Genise too climbed onto her horse.
