Part 7: A Shared Flower Path Shines Brightest
I headed up to the tower of Allero Castle. Haven was walking beside me, holding my hand, and Edwin followed behind us.
He usually clung to my arm as we walked, so I was curious why he wasn't doing that now. I turned around and then found him poking the side of the moonbird perched on Genise's head.
"Quack!"
"Get down, huh?"
"But not for me."
"No sitting on her head either."
"It's fine," Genise chimed in, and that stopped their bickering.
She was carrying the moonbird on her head and walking expressionlessly, but with that comment, she swatted Edwin's hand away as if he were annoying her.
What could he do when Genise herself said it was okay?
Edwin pouted and prodded the bird's side, and in response, the bird pecked at his finger. Amid the fuss, Genise stayed calm.
