I looked up from my phone.
Reid stood in the doorway of my office, one hand braced against the frame.
"I wasn't going to." I lowered the phone to the desk.
The message was still open.
You can stop this before more people die. Convince Rhys to return what Graymoor took. He may listen to you when he will not listen to anyone else.
The number had been blocked, but I already knew who sent the message.
Reid stepped into the room and closed the door behind him.
"When did it come in?"
"Ten minutes ago."
"And you haven't shown Rhys."
It wasn't a question.
"I was going to."
Reid gave me a look. "Elise."
"What exactly do you want me to do? Walk into his office and tell him the woman who exposed us in front of the Night Court now thinks I should convince him to surrender pack land?"
"Yes." His jaw tightened.
"I was just thinking about what she said." I picked up the phone again. "She isn't wrong about everything."
Reid went still. "Don't go there, Elise."
