A young woman stands on the same balcony. The yellow curtains are gone; they faded to nothing decades ago. The crack in the ceiling is completely healed. The apartment has been renovated twice.
But the marigolds are still blooming.
She doesn't know why. No one waters them. No one tends to them. They just... grow. Bright orange flowers that glow in the morning light.
She touches a petal, and something stirs in her chest.
A hum.

She doesn't know what it is. She doesn't know that she is the next version, the one the woman in the dream spoke about. She doesn't know that a frequency has been waiting for her, dormant but patient, ready to wake when love needs it most.
