Chapter 144 - Chapter 143: Demanding Genes

"Open the door. I have something to ask."

The immature voice pierced through the thick alloy door, reaching the ears of everyone behind it with absolute clarity.

The voice wasn't loud, even pleasant and immature, but it was like a bomb, exploding violently in everyone's minds.

Inside the main control room, there was a dead silence.

Over a dozen researchers in white coats, Security Supervisors in uniform, and several high-level executives in suits were frozen in place like statues.

Their eyes turned in unison toward that tightly closed alloy door, their final barrier.

Behind that door was that demon.

That monster who, in the surveillance footage, had swatted away a multi-ton Zombie Dinosaur with a single palm.

That freak who caught a forty-ton cable car with one hand as if catching a feather.

That... little loli who made the Alien Queen, the strongest biological weapon they had spent countless efforts creating, bow in submission.

"Should... should we open it?"

A young researcher's voice trembled, cold sweat pouring down his forehead.

"We can't open it!"

The Security Supervisor lowered his voice, but couldn't hide his panic.

"If we open it, we'll all die!"

"But..."

Another person pointed at the surveillance screen.

On the screen, Lilith stood barefoot outside the door, her petite figure appearing even smaller against the backdrop of the massive iron door.

But everyone remembered the scene from a few minutes ago when the laboratory's blast-proof alloy door, three times thicker than this one, was kicked flying and embedded into the wall by her.

What could this door possibly block?

"Open the door."

An old and calm voice rang out.

Everyone turned to look at the White-Haired Old Man in the main control seat, the highest person in charge of this park, Isaac Klein.

There was no fear on his face, only calmness.

"This door won't stop her."

He didn't explain, nor did he need to.

Because everyone understood.

The door slowly opened.

Cold wind rushed in from outside, making the documents in the room rustle.

Then, that figure appeared before everyone.

Barefoot.

Silver hair.

A black and red pleated skirt and a white-strapped short-sleeved top.

A face so exquisite it seemed as if it shouldn't exist in this world.

But she possessed crimson eyes that made one's soul tremble.

She just stood there at the door, without any unnecessary movements or deliberate pressure.

But at that moment, everyone's breathing in the main control room stalled for a second.

The compression of the surveillance footage had blurred her terrifying nature.

Now, as she truly stood before them—

That invisible aura, almost tangible, made everyone feel like prey targeted by a fierce beast, their bodies stiff and unable to move.

Lilith stepped inside.

Her bare feet stepped on the cold alloy floor; every step felt like it was treading on everyone's hearts.

She walked past the frozen crowd, her gaze not even lingering on their faces for a moment.

Those research elites who were usually high and mighty, the Security Supervisors who held armed forces, and the arrogant high-level executives were like stones by the roadside in her eyes.

Her gaze bypassed everyone and finally landed on the White-Haired Old Man in the main control seat.

Isaac Klein.

Among everyone present, his blood vitality was the most abundant.

Though his hair was white, the life force surging within him far exceeded those young and strong security personnel.

This was the true ruler of this park.

The fusion of worlds had long since caused the Jurassic World dungeon to deviate from its original track.

The intervention of the Umbrella Corporation had turned this place into a demon's den of genetic research.

And this old man was the master of it all.

Lilith stopped in front of him.

Her crimson eyes met his old, grayish-blue ones.

Three seconds.

Five seconds.

No one dared to make a sound.

"Since you're all here."

Lilith spoke, her immature voice echoing in the main control room.

"My purpose is also very simple."

She paused.

"You research dinosaur genes, so you should have quite a bit in reserve, right?"

Her tone was casual, as if asking what was for lunch today.

But that unquestionable undertone made everyone present feel a chill down their spines.

This wasn't a question.

This was an order.

Several executives looked at each other, their faces grim.

It wasn't that they hadn't seen powerful people before.

The armed agents sent by the Umbrella Corporation, the Super Soldiers within the company who had been injected with Genetic Improvement Potions, even those Mutant Creatures raised as weapons... but none could bring this feeling of being completely suppressed.

This seemingly harmless little girl made them truly experience what it meant to be at the top of the food chain.

Isaac Klein slowly stood up.

His movements were slow, not because of old age, but because he was using this method to maintain his final dignity.

"As for the genes in reserve, we indeed have them."

His voice was calm, without any trembling.

"Jurassic World is an Ecological Gene Bank jointly created by the Umbrella Corporation and multi-national research institutions. Storage here contains the vast majority of known biological gene sequences on Earth, as well as some ancient genes that do not belong to this era."

He didn't hide it, nor was there any need to.

In the face of absolute power, any lie was futile.

"If you need these, you can make a list..."

Before he could finish his sentence.

A crisp female voice interrupted him.

"I think you've got it wrong."

Leah stepped out from behind Lilith, her azure eyes calm and rippleless, but the aura belonging to an SS-Rank Hunter also made everyone's hearts skip a beat.

She stood half a step in front and to the side of Lilith, her posture respectful, but her tone was unquestionable.

"It's not us making a list, but you, organizing all the gene samples, all the experimental data, and all the research records, completely and without missing a single one, and handing them over to us."

She paused.

"Do you understand?"

That tone and posture were the spitting image of a miniature leader.

Everyone present looked at each other.

They only then realized that this girl who had been silently following behind was also by no means a pushover.

Although the aura of an SS-Rank Hunter was restrained, if one sensed carefully, they could still feel that heavy sense of pressure.

And such a being was merely a guard for that little loli.

Isaac Klein's face showed no change.

He remained silent for two seconds and slowly nodded.

"Fine. I'll give the orders now."

He didn't bargain, didn't test the limits, and didn't stall for time.

Because he knew very well that in the face of absolute power, any cleverness would only accelerate his own death.

The surrounding researchers, who were already terrified, felt as if they had been granted a grand amnesty and quickly began to act.

Accessing the database, organizing the gene bank catalog, preparing data copies... their movements were swift and their efficiency was remarkably high.

Facing that terrifying little loli, they didn't dare to be negligent.

Just then, Leah suddenly spoke.

"Oh, by the way."

She looked at Klein.

"If there are Blue-Ringed Octopus genes, prioritize taking them out."
