Chapter 24 - THE SYMPHONY OF CHAOS

01:00 AM – 04:00 AM

Various points across Ironport (West District, Commercial Sector, and the Harbor)

Police sirens wailing incessantly, black smoke billowing from burning warehouses, and mass panic flooding the radio networks.

That night, Ironport did not sleep. Rion's promise to create "chaos" was fulfilled with terrifying precision. The five mid-tier factions, now armed with futuristic tech, began simultaneous strikes on Seifong and Cosa Nostra assets.

The West District: The Silent Massacre

In Seifong-controlled territory, a logistics truck convoy suddenly ground to a halt. Without the sound of a single gunshot, windshields shattered and guards slumped over with small, clean holes through their tactical helmets. The Iron Skulls were utilizing the Rail-Pistols gifted by Rion from the rooftops.

Police arriving on the scene minutes later found only bodies—no shell casings were found anywhere in the vicinity.

"This is insane! There are no signs of conventional projectiles!" a forensic officer shouted over the radio.

The Commercial Sector: Acoustic Interference

In the city center, the Red Lotus faction attacked a Cosa Nostra-owned nightclub. However, they didn't storm in with grenades. They planted Acoustic Disruptors in the ventilation system. Within seconds, low-frequency sound waves caused everyone inside to suffer from nausea, dizziness, and fainting before the physical raid even began.

The sheer scale of the disorder forced Sinclair to deploy his entire SWAT unit to the city center, leaving other sectors completely unguarded.

Police HQ: Information Storm

At the police data center, Key and Funin were having a field day. Key successfully disabled 60% of the city's CCTV cameras, replacing the feeds with static, looping footage. Meanwhile, Funin hijacked the police radio frequencies.

"Unit 4, return to base! There is an attack at City Hall!" Funin's voice perfectly mimicked Sinclair's superior.

"But we are in pursuit of suspects at the harbor!" the unit protested.

"That is a direct order! Return now!" Funin barked.

Police units moved in total disarray, colliding with conflicting information and chasing ghost targets created by Nero Familia's "Siren."

The View from Above

Rion and Ren stood on the balcony of their penthouse, watching the points of fire begin to decorate the Ironport skyline. Ren held her tablet, smiling as she watched the stock prices of Seifong-affiliated companies plummet within hours.

"Those small factions are working better than I expected," Ren murmured, sipping her wine. "They feel like kings with your new toys."

"They aren't kings," Rion replied flatly. "They are bait. As long as the police and the big gangs are busy blaming each other and chasing shadows, we have a clear path to the Sector 1 data vault."

Rion activated his comms. "Nero Familia, listen up. The diversion phase is complete. Krow, Zack, Lea, Garry... it's time to take our true primary target while the city burns."

Garry, revving his bike in a dark alley, smirked. "Copy that, Boss. The streets are so messy, the cops won't even notice me passing under their noses."

Ironport that night was a masterpiece of destruction. Sinclair screamed in rage in his office, Seifong swore a bloody vendetta, and citizens hid behind locked doors. No one realized that all this chaos was merely the background music for Nero Familia's footsteps toward the heart of the city's power.
