Chapter 16 - remembering

Your steps stop right in the middle of the main village road. From the rooftops of the building and between the alleys, three of Konoha's elite teams appeared almost simultaneously. They landed in combat formations, but there was great doubt on their faces when they saw you standing so calmly in front of Ichiraku's shop.

Confrontation with Old Friends

Team 10 (Ino-Shika-Cho): Shikamaru stepped forward, his shadow had already begun to move on the ground but he held it back. Ino looks at you with teary eyes, while Choji stops chewing on his chips, his expression is very serious.

"Naruto... you're really alive," Shikamaru muttered. "I saw what you did to Sasuke yesterday. But this morning... You look like a different person."

Team 8 (Kiba-Shino-Hinata): Akamaru barked softly, his tail swaying—he didn't feel any malice. Shino remained silent in his mystery, but the insect seemed calm. And there, Hinata stood with trembling hands in front of her chest. His Byakugan eyes saw the flow of your chakra that was now on par with the universe itself.

"Na-Naruto-kun..." whispered Hinata. There was an overwhelming sense of relief as well as deep sadness in his voice.

Team 9 (Guy-Lee-Tenten): Rock Lee was already preparing for Goken's position, his passion was burning but he didn't attack. Tenten held his weapon roll vigilantly.

Suffocating Atmosphere

They surround you, not because they want to capture you—because they know it's impossible—but because they want answers. They are the friends who grew up with you, the people who saw you struggle from scratch, and the people who also fell silent when you were betrayed.

"Naruto!" Kiba shouted from the rooftop. "What does all this mean? You destroyed half the village, beat Sasuke to death, and now you're engrossed in eating ramen? You think you can just leave after scaring us all?!"

Shikamaru let out a long sigh, gesturing for Kiba to calm down. He looks at you deeply. "He was right. You have the power of gods now. So, what are your next plans? Did you come to finish us all, or is there something else?"

The Rikudou's Answer

You stand in the middle of the encirclement of your old friends. The morning wind plays the end of your white robe. Rinne-Mangekyo's eyes glanced at Hinata for a moment, then back at Shikamaru.

Pov : *I went inside the Hokage's office and sat down*

Your steps are unstoppable. You walk through the crowd of young ninjas who are still glued, through the corridors of the iconic red building, and into the most sacred room in Konoha: the Hokage's Office.

The large door opened by itself before you touched it. You stepped in, past a table full of stacks of documents, and without hesitation, you pulled a large chair behind the table and sat down.

From the large window behind you, the entire view of Konoha stretches out. From here, the predecessors saw the village as something to be protected, but for you, this sight is just a reminder of the cycle you've broken.

Silence in the Room of Authority

Shortly after, the door slammed open. Tsunade, Shikamaru, Kakashi, and the village elders entered with heavy breath. They stopped right in front of the table, fixated to see you sitting in the chair that was supposed to belong to the Hokage.

"Naruto..." Tsunade growled softly, but there was no anger in her voice—just deep exhaustion. "What are you trying to prove by sitting in that chair?"

Shikamaru stepped forward, his hands trembling slightly as he placed them on the table. "You destroyed the village symbol, and now you sit on his throne. Does this mean that you declare yourself to be our new ruler?"

The Aura of the Ruler

You lean your back, crossed your legs, and stared at them from behind the teak wooden table. Your Rinne-Mangekyo eyes seemed to shine under the shadows of the room.

Natural Authority: The room now feels completely yours. Even the Hokage's previous paintings on the wall seemed to bow down under the calm yet massive pressure of your chakra.

Paradox of Heroes: They saw the figure they had always dreamed of becoming the Hokage, but in the form they feared most—a God who could no longer be influenced by politics or human rules.

Sang Rikudou's Words

You tapped your fingers on the table, the sound of his knock echoing throughout the silent room.

"This chair..." You say, your voice is heavy and full of authority. "It feels very cold. I used to want it so badly, that I was willing to die for the village that ended up killing me."

You looked Tsunade straight into her eyes. "I'm not sitting here to rule over you. I'm sitting here to show you how fragile this system you are maintaining."

Me : *I'm self-reliant* no, I'm just lonely and want to have a wife
