Chapter 117
Luce saw that the eagle carrying Euphoria was badly hurt and tried to reach them, but there were too many enemies. Hayes pulled Euphoria into a tight hug, and they fell together, crashing into the dark ocean below.
Euphoria held her breath the moment they hit the water. Hayes shielded her with his massive body, taking all the force of the impact. As they sank, the enemy warriors dove in after them, but Luce was already there, fighting them off. Hayes, despite being underwater, fought with incredible speed and strength, using his tail and one arm to strike down the attackers.
The water around them turned red with blood. Euphoria's lungs began to burn as she ran out of air. Sensing her distress, Hayes grabbed her and pushed them both toward the surface. She broke through, gasping for air, but they were immediately surrounded by even more enemies.
