Chapter 161
Peg did not know why she felt such pain in her chest; tears flowed down her face, making her vision blurry.
So glanced at Peg, then immediately looked away, refusing to face her again.
The battle around them grew more intense. Peg saw that Mallory and Wayne were hurt, and she realized So would not let them go.
She knew Mallory and Wayne could not beat the merfolk in the water, so her worry grew.
After Mallory was knocked back by a merfolk, Peg could no longer stay silent. She shouted at So, "So, I am not leaving! Let them go! Tell them to stop fighting!"
Mallory tried to yell, but he was underwater and could not.
So looked up at Peg again, and after a short silence, he finally said, "Stop."
The merfolk heard him and ceased their attacks.
He did not say anything else, just kept staring at Peg.
Peg looked at Mallory and said, "Mallory, go away, and do not come looking for me."
