Fun fact: Shalltear's design is a mix of Peroroncino's fetishes. He actually liked flat chests, so he specifically added the chest pads to her character settings as a joke.

Chapter 3: The First Recharge
It happened on the third day of Seiju's recovery.
He had just stirred from sleep in his quarters, eyes still bleary, when the YGGDRASIL System abruptly manifested a window before him.
[First Recharge Reward: Spend 6 Yen to receive a Powered Suit]
[First Recharge Bonus: Log in for three consecutive days to claim rewards]
[Day 3 Reward: Powered Suit (Free)]
[Escorting your Newbie Experience]
"What is this? A first-purchase bonus? What am I supposed to pay with?" Seiju stared at the sudden pop-up, utterly bewildered.
While the YGGDRASIL System originated from a game, this transmigration was anything but. Even if Seiju wanted to "top up" his account, he didn't exactly have a digital wallet.
[Would you like to exchange local currency for Game Coins?]
"Well, since you put it that way, there's no harm in trying." Seiju tapped [Confirm Recharge].
Immediately, a new window appeared.
[Recharge Successful]
[Consuming 6 Gold Coins]
Seiju's eyes nearly bulged out of his head. He scrambled to check his coin purse, only to find that his six gold coins had vanished into thin air.
"It actually works like that?" He paused, reflecting on the situation. The currency of the Holy Kingdom was still money, after all. However, six gold coins was a staggering sum for a common soldier like him. It represented years of savings accumulated from serving on the dangerous border.
SLAM!
The door to the barracks was kicked open with violent force.
Seiju recognized the intruder instantly: Marciel, a noble-born soldier who had always harbored a grudge against him. Marciel wore a look of petty triumph, brandishing a formal document in his hand.
Before Seiju could even process what the man was planning, the parchment was whipped across the room, striking Seiju in the face with a sharp thwack. The coarse paper scraped against his skin, leaving a faint, stinging heat.
"I am taking over as the Captain of the Scout Team. You can get lost now, Private Seiju." Marciel's malicious smirk was impossible to hide.
The document read: Scout Captain Seiju, having sustained injuries in the line of duty and suffered a loss of combat effectiveness, is hereby deemed unfit for his current post. He is demoted to the rank of Logistics Private. The position of Scout Captain shall be assumed by Marciel.
It was finalized with the official seal of the Roble Holy Kingdom.
Seiju finally realized what was happening. He had been stripped of his command and demoted to the lowest rung of the ladder—the logistics corps. He hadn't expected such a petty maneuver to bring Marciel so much joy.
"Impressive. It seems the nobility really can get away with anything," Seiju muttered. He didn't actually care about the title or the position. His only concern was whether he could still hunt demi-humans as a logistics grunt. If he couldn't grind enemies and had to rely on simple training, his leveling speed would be glacially slow.
If he wasn't strong enough by the time the Great Tomb of Nazarick began its invasion, he would be nothing more than a helpless bystander, forced to watch as Calca was reduced to a mangled, unrecognizable lump of flesh by the Evil Lord of Wrath.
That absolutely cannot happen!
As the thought crossed his mind, Seiju's expression darkened.
Marciel, interpreting this as a sign that his scheme had hit its mark, slapped Seiju on the shoulder.
"Don't look so miserable. Even if you've been tossed into the dregs of logistics, it's not like you're completely without opportunities to earn merit," Marciel said, his lips curling into a repulsive sneer. "After all, you've been assigned directly under my command."
He paused, clearly savoring the moment as he watched for a reaction. "But I have to say, you're surprisingly popular with the team." His tone turned mocking.
"Oh? Is that so?" Seiju's voice remained flat, devoid of any emotional fluctuation.
"Absolutely!" Marciel's voice rose in feigned excitement. "A certain female priest even came to plead for mercy on your behalf!" He leaned in, his face twisting into a lecherous, perverse grin.
"Do you want to know exactly how she pleaded with me?" Marciel's eyes glinted with malice. He tilted his head, whispering filthily into Seiju's ear, clearly anticipating a burst of rage or despair.
However, Seiju's face remained an impassive mask. He looked at Marciel with utter coldness and uttered a single phrase: "I'm not interested."
Without a second thought, he walked out of the captain's quarters. He left Marciel standing alone in the room, the noble's face contorting with irritation as he let out a sharp, frustrated click of his tongue.
"Was it Kailis? Cade's sister..." Seiju rubbed his chin, deep in thought as he made his way toward the logistics barracks.
He wasn't particularly worried about Marciel doing anything to her. Magic casters held a prestigious status, especially clerics like Kailis and her brother. Desecrating a member of the clergy was a capital offense in the Holy Kingdom. Even a noble's reach had its limits.
At most, they could only bully an orphan like Seiju—someone born a commoner, without parents, without backing, and without a shred of political power.
