My eyes fluttered open without warning, my body going from completely out and unconscious to suddenly being somewhat conscious, and as I sat up a low groan reverberated in my chest as I stretched, my muscles going taut and providing the unique pleasure that made waking up so amazing.
Listening to the pops of my joints and feeling like I could hear each rope of sinew being pulled as I stretched my legs and my arms, I groaned again and blinked the sleep from my eyes before looking around, wondering where I was and why I felt so refreshed.
For a long moment I was just sitting there, on this plush sofa, my mind completely blank as I just looked around and tried to piece together my thoughts... only to blink a few more times as my gaze landed on that desk.
