--3 years later--
3 more years have passed but the system still hasn't arrived yet.
The summer holiday has arrived and schools are closed.
Time is July 31, 1983, 8:00 am, Today is my birthday I am currently 10 years old and was traveling with my parents in the car towards Racoon city to meet my grandparents as they live there along the way we enjoyed a lot, listening to music and watching new sceneries was not that bad.
At 10:00 am we arrived at Rocoon city , my heart almost popped out of my chest as I know in Resident Evil world Rocoon city means bad news.
We enjoyed the city a little bit you know it's my first time here after all.We enjoyed the city scenery for about two and half hours before going towards my grandparents house.
After we reached the house where my grandparents lived I looked at my watch which shows 12:49 pm then I looked at the door, my grandmother was an easy going person while my grandfather is a little strict..and why wouldn't he be after all he was a retired army soldier who fought in World War 2 and survived.
As I reached and opened the door my grandmother came out rushing at me and held me in her arms and hugged me tightly and started kissing me,even though she is my grandma she's not that old probably just in her late 50's,As I was thinking these I woke up out of my thoughts due to the lack of air, I was almost got suffocated thought but used to it after all I was known as most handsome kid in the school and in the area where I lived whenever I meet my relatives they do the same when I was a little child..so yeah it's not that much hard to endure if you are used to it.
Finally after some time my grandmother released me I feel like I am in heaven, just as I was enjoying my release when my grandfather arrived with a calm and sharp look.
He looked at me before saying:You finally arrived Leon how's your journey? And how you think about your first day in Racoon city is it good.
Looking at him I replied to him with my cold and calm attitude: This is not how I imagined my first day. Not bad.
Hearing this he let a small smirk then goes inside the kitchen along with my grandma to prepare the meal.
We talked with my grandparents about things about our journey , my school and others. Most of the time I replied when necessary which got me a nod from my grandfather.
As time passed it was night time around 8:30 to 9:00 pm and the time for me to cut the birthday cake, everyone was surrounding me just as I was about to cut the cake, someone suddenly kicked the house door open.
The intruder had a mask around his face carrying a bag probably robbed a bank or something and was running from the police.
As the intruder saw me he pointed a gun at me and said:don't move or I will shoot the birthday boy.
Seeing this my parents tried to save me but the intruder saw the moment and pointed his gun at my mother and shot a bullet seeing this I yelled loudly: Nooooo..
But the bullet was not something I could stop and it happened it directly stuck my mother's abdomen and she fell to the ground.
I hurriedly got near my mother, She was taking her last breath and said:Le-Leon...r-run..run..Leon.
Hearing this I cried white replying:No-nonono ,no please don't leave me mom.pl..please don't leave me.
while my father tried to control his tears while trying to stop the intruder but the intruder also shot him..not one but.. two times one..at his chest one at the shoulder with this my father also fell.
Seeing this I cried and yelled again: Nooo...
Seeing my father also fall to the ground I started to feel dizzy while my grandparents tried to shield me from the intruder who also shot them one by one all fell only I left crying while feeling dizzy.
The intruder seeing this got more enraged and yelled at my family: Why you all had to jump for nothing huh..I only wanted this kid as a hostage for escaping from the police, why you all had to shield him... GOOD FOR NOTHINGS.
Hearing this rage boiled in me and I stared at the intruder with rage in my eyes,the intruder noticed this and smirked at me saying: Yoo look at this kid..the kid who lost everyone in a single night on his birthday hahahaha.
He started laughing hearing his laugh more rage accumulated in me and I opened my mouth to say something:You bas--
But before I complete my sentence a voice appeared in my mind.

Hearing this I was so shocked that I started to lose my reasoning and asked: why..why now, after I lost everything only then showing up,why..why not before when I had everything.

Hearing this I was so shocked that I started to feel halusination again but stronger ones and slowly asked with a trembling voice: Ar-are y..ou saying that.... losing my family is the price...of my...powers.

I was enraged hearing this so I replied in a loud voice: Shut up, give...give me my family back.I-I-I don't want these powers in exchange for their lives.

While I was engaged in the talk with the system the intruder who was seeing all these thought that I might have gone mad due to losing everything and said in a laughing tone: Huh...kid are you gone mad or something.hahaha
And started laughing,this caused my attention to return to him from system while I was still feeling dizzy the laughter of the intruder kept me awake then the system spoke to me in my mind.
