The ring on my finger split slightly and a drop of blood fell into the crack. Something below opened its eye.
I become freez.
Then
I feel warm air passing from the place.
For a moment, I could not move at all.
I got scared.
My hand was still in front of me, but it felt like it didn't belong to me anymore. The ring… it was no longer just a ring. It felt alive.
I slowly took a step back.
The room was quiet, too quiet. Even the sound of my breathing felt loud in my ears.
I looked at my finger again. The tiny crack in the ring was still there, but now it was glowing faintly red, like a heartbeat.
Thump… thump…
I froze.
"No… this can't be real," I whispered to myself.
But before I could react, the glow became stronger. A strange heat spread through my hand. It was not painful at first, but it was uncomfortable, like something was crawling under my skin.
I tried to remove the ring with my other hand.
But it didn't move.
It was stuck… tighter than before.
"What is happening to me?" I said, louder this time.
My voice echoed in the room, but something felt wrong. The echo came back slightly delayed, like even the room was listening carefully.
The crack in the ring grew a little more.
And then—
A soft sound came from below the floor.
It was not a normal sound. It was like air being pulled into something very deep. Like a long, slow breath from something that had not breathed in a very long time.
I looked down at the ground.
The wooden floor beneath me looked normal… but I could feel it. Something under it was moving.
My heart started beating faster.
I took another step back, but my foot hit the edge of my bed. I almost lost balance.
The light above me flickered.
Once.
Twice.
And then it stayed dim.
My room felt darker even though nothing had changed.
The ring gave another faint glow, and suddenly, a thin line of light spread from it to my wrist.
I gasped and tried to shake my hand.
But the line didn't disappear.
Instead, it moved under my skin.
Like ink flowing inside veins.
"No… no, stop!" I said in panic.
My breathing became uneven. I could feel something inside me reacting to the ring. Like it was waking something up in my body too.
Then I saw it.
On my wrist, faint patterns started forming.
They looked like symbols… ancient symbols… but I had never seen them before in my life.
And slowly… they started shaping into something.
A dragon.
Not a normal drawing. It looked alive even though it was just lines under my skin.
I stared at it in shock.
"What… what is this?"
The moment I said that, the floor creaked loudly.
CRACK.
I jumped.
The sound came from directly under me.
Something was definitely there now.
I slowly bent down and touched the floor.
It was cold.
Too cold.
And then—
A soft red glow appeared from a tiny gap between the wooden planks.
My eyes widened.
The same glow as the ring.
I quickly pulled my hand away, but the glow under my skin and the glow under the floor… they matched.
Like they were connected.
The ring suddenly tightened again, making me wince.
And then I heard it clearly.
A voice.
Not outside.
Inside my mind.
"Finally…"
I froze completely.
My whole body went numb.
"Who… who is there?" I whispered, my lips trembling.
No answer came.
Instead, the glow under the floor became stronger.
The cracks in the wood started spreading slowly, like something was pushing from underneath.
I stepped back again, but my legs felt weak.
The dragon symbol on my wrist shimmered faintly.
The ring cracked a little more.
And from below the floor, that same presence… that same eye… was now fully awake.
Even though I could not see it clearly, I could feel it staring at me.
Not just looking.
Recognizing.
Like it had been waiting for me for a very long time.
The air in the room became heavier. Every breath felt harder.
The ring pulsed again.
And this time, something inside the crack began to move toward the surface…
