Chapter 164 - Chapter 164: My God Is Invincible Under the Heavens

Chapter 164: My God Is Invincible Under the Heavens

The battlefield was a swarming mass of heads amid a deafening roar of battle cries.

No, those weren't heads—they were total packs of experience points.

Upholding the principle of absolute efficiency, Sophia, who was currently lacking a massive amount of experience points to level up, was ruthlessly thrown into the fray of the human-demon war by Shirazawa. He wanted to take this opportunity to push Sophia's level to its absolute zenith. If everything went well, it might even maximize her to Lv10, allowing her to undergo immediate apotheosis.

"Leaving me out of the fun again, those absolute bastards!"

Having grown from a toddler into a young lady, the Vampire Princess stamped her foot viciously, glaring in the direction of the Elf Village. All the primary players had converged on the elves, yet she, a vampire princess still technically in her childhood growth phase, was completely excluded. It left her feeling exceptionally irritated.

"My Lady, now is not the time to be throwing a tantrum."

Leading the Fourth Army, Mera escorted Sophia to the front lines of the battlefield, feeling a massive headache coming on over his ill-tempered lady.

"What do you mean 'not the time to be throwing a tantrum'?"

"How am I throwing a tantrum?!"

Hearing Mera's words, Sophia grew even angrier. She glared with her beautiful, wide eyes, pinning Mera with a death stare.

"..."

Feeling Sophia's furious gaze, Mera remained silent for a long moment, ultimately choosing not to argue back. If it hadn't been for his young lady's self-indulgence, the academy's headmaster wouldn't have been targeted for assassination by various noble factions due to the brainwashing of several highborn students. That whole mess wouldn't have caused the academy to close early, forcing the students into premature graduation and similar consequences.

"Everyone prepare yourselves! Ready to engage the enemy at any moment!"

After taking a deep breath, Mera decisively barked out his orders. At the same time, Sophia realized that the war was about to erupt, and her expression turned solemn.

The battlefield of the human-demon war was vast and open, with each major army responsible for its own designated zone. It was roughly divided into five fortresses, each dealing with different adversaries.

As it happened, the forces that Mera's army was up against belonged to the Holy Kingdom. Sophia unexpectedly found herself on the same line as Saint Yuri.

Representing light and darkness respectively, the two young girls locked eyes across the distance, intense sparks flying where their gazes clashed.

"Is this the new pet Master picked up?"

"Doesn't look like much, does she~"

Sophia narrowed her ruby-like eyes, her slender tongue licking her crimson lips.

"A pure and holy Saint... her blood should taste exceptionally sweet..."

"If I could make the Saint fall from grace, Master would definitely get angry, wouldn't he..."

"And when Master gets angry, he'll definitely punish me again... Hehehe..."

In order to receive a severe punishment from her master and reap a twisted sense of pleasure, Sophia's eyes darted around as she began to implement her plan.

Meanwhile.

Holding the Holy Grail in her hands, Saint Yuri gazed at the opposing army with devout, fanatical eyes.

"God is guiding me."

"My God's aura lies ahead. I must have Him. I must absolutely have Him."

She gently caressed her chest to calm her violently pounding heart. Yet her hurried breaths still failed to conceal the agitation in her heart. Her face gradually flushed as she let out exhale after hot exhale. She fantasized about the warm, broad embrace of the White God—how wonderful, how comfor...

"Oh, my Lord Deity~~"

She murmured under her breath, seemingly having forgotten the battle entirely, completely immersed in her delusions.

Both girls harbored their own hidden agendas, only snapping back to reality when the war horns finally blared.

Sophia was the first who couldn't hold back from making a move.

Accompanied by a sonic boom, her figure instantly surged forward, pouncing across the field like a swift leopard. A magnificent white broadsword, half a head taller than her entire body, was drawn from her spatial storage, and a biting torrent of ice magic howled across the battlefield.

Before slaying a single enemy, a massive swath of her own side's forces was wiped out first.

Veins throbbed violently on Mera's forehead, his mouth twitching uncontrollably. He had seen people cause trouble before, but he had never seen anyone execute a backstab right at the opening move. You could have at least put on an act—even claiming it was an accident caused by clashing spells with the enemy would have sufficed. He didn't even know how to explain this situation to his subordinates.

The lawless Sophia didn't care about any of that. In her eyes, there was no distinction between human and demon on the battlefield; they were all just experience packs.

Two golden lights from leveling up flashed over her body in quick succession. Showing no further facial expression, Sophia continued her sprint, hacking and slashing her way toward the rushing army of the Holy Kingdom. At this point, Mera could only grit his teeth and push through his headache to follow her, protecting his young lady's safety, even if it was somewhat redundant.

"Humph!"

Witnessing this scene, Yuri let out an arrogant snort and scoffed, "A reckless brute!"

"Tsk!"

How sharp were Sophia's five senses? Even across a distance of a thousand meters, she could still perfectly capture Yuri's words.

"You high-and-mighty bitch, stop putting on that pure and flawless act. This lady is going to make you bleed out tonight!" Sophia cursed viciously.

Yuri's pretty face turned a shade of mottled green and white. "A crude barbarian. You must receive the judgment of God."

"I ask for nothing less."

Sophia was actually looking forward immensely to the scene of being judged by her master; that would surely be fantastic!

"Shield of Faith!"

Yuri bellowed softly, the Holy Grail in her hands bursting with a brilliant, dazzling golden light. A massive shield of light manifested along Sophia's offensive path, completely blocking her attack before dissipating into mid-air.

"Huh?"

Sophia let out a gasp of surprise, not expecting the other party to actually be able to tap into her master's power of faith.

Yuri's astonishment was not a fraction less than Sophia's, though hers transformed into a look of pure joy. "This is the power granted to me by my Lord Deity! Ah~ it is so powerful~"

Her legs inadvertently pressed tight together as she desperately suppressed the shyness welling up from within her heart, raising her hand once more.

"Sword of Judgment!"

A holy blade materialized out of thin air, slashing downward with an immense, majestic pressure.

"Heh, nothing more than a cheap trick. Take this!"

Sophia let out a light laugh, brandishing her sharp blade as she hacked upward with brute force.

*Clang—!*

As the two blades collided, they actually ended up evenly matched once again.

This time, Sophia lost her composure. "No way. My stat values are around thirty to forty thousand, and I'm a clean fifty-fifty split with this stinking bitch?"

"I don't accept this!"

"It must be because Master's power is too overwhelming; it has absolutely zero to do with this woman. Yes! That's the real truth!"

She credited Yuri's strength entirely to Shirazawa, and in reality, that was exactly the case. Although the Holy Grail was just something he had casually forged on a whim, the power of faith contained within it was the real deal. This was an Authority that only a deity could wield; how could it be so easily dealt with?

"Stinking woman, you just wait!"

Sophia left behind a harsh threat, then flashed away to another section of the battlefield. She was currently only at Lv12. Once she finished harvesting the experience packs across the other zones, her level and stats would absolutely reach a terrifying, unprecedented height. When that time came, it wouldn't be too late to return and deal with this self-proclaimed Saint.

Yuri was still fully immersed in the immense power granted by her deity, paying absolutely no mind to Sophia's parting threat.

"My Lord Deity is invincible under the heavens! Deities of the heavens, Asuras of hell—come! Come all at once!"

"In the eyes of my God, you all are nothing more than clay chickens and pottery dogs. Absolute garbage!"

"My God is invincible under the heavens!"

A thousand miles away, Shirazawa felt a sudden premonition, as if countless pairs of eyes had locked onto him, making his hairs stand on end.

"Who the hell is raising death flags for me? Do you want me dead?!"
