Her little cheeks were rosy, and with a pout, she touched her tiny stomach, a look of slight distress crossing her face.
In that moment, an idea sparked in Chen Wei's mind.

The system responded, "Certainly, Host. However, you will need to use exchange points to unlock the food section."
Chen Wei's lips quirked into a smile. This system was incredibly user-friendly.

Chen Wei browsed the system's marketplace under the food section and was greeted by an array of food items.

The little girl's face lit up with a delighted smile at the mention of food, and she bounced down the stairs with glee.
Chen Wei, seeing her excitement, quickly redeemed two boxes of premium milk and two loaves of high-quality bread, arranging them neatly on the table.
"Wow... look at the bread, it's so big!"
MeiMei dashed down from the stairs, her eyes sparkling like tiny stars at the sight of the sizable loaves of bread on the table.
"MeiMei, come and eat," Chen Wei said with a smile, peeling away the transparent wrap from the bread and slicing off a generous piece for her.
He then twisted open the milk carton, poured a cup for MeiMei, and watched as she eagerly took bites of the bread, her eyes brightening further at the sight of the milk. Muffled cheers of delight came from her, bread-filled mouth.
In the background, MeiMei's voice could faintly be heard exclaiming, "Wow, milk bubbles! We've got milk bubbles to drink!"
'Milk bubbles' was a quaint local expression.
Chen Wei often squeezed goat and cow milk for the little girl, aiming to bolster her health.
"Here, this cup of milk is for you too, MeiMei. There's plenty more bread and milk after you finish," he reassured her.
Chen Wei sat quietly at the table, watching his little sister eat. In this post-apocalyptic world, her presence was the sole source of his joy.
"Brother, you should eat too," MeiMei suddenly said, offering him a slice of bread.
"I'm not hungry, MeiMei. Go ahead and eat," Chen Wei replied with a smile, shaking his head. Despite the night's skirmishes, he felt no hunger; his body was suffused with a sense of fullness.
He knew it was the life energy restoring the energy needed by his body's cells.
The System's warning broke the calm: "Warning! Host, please be advised, a nuclear missile has been launched and will detonate above your current location in thirty seconds. Host, please prepare for the blast."
Chen Wei's pupils shrank instantly upon hearing the message.
He rose swiftly and moved to his sister's side, wrapping his arms around her. At the same time, he reached out with his mind to Igris, "Igris, latch onto something and stabilize yourself."
"What's happening?" Igris inquired.
"We're about to—" Chen Wei began.
Boooom!!!
Before Chen Wei could finish, a thunderous explosion erupted overhead. Billions of energy particles went wild, ravaging the sky in an instant.
A fearsome blast wave began to ravage everything in its path.
