Stefan had always feared Evan. He was strong and agile. He always fought with etheral ferociousness.
Still Evan had his doubts. It happened during their last battle. He was watching his brother talk about alliance with The White Lotus Pack. And Stefan couldn't help but look at Evan, the White Albino. And the sight was obvious. He was alone. Very alone. An outcast in his own pack. Flinching as the wolves kept their distances from him. Stefan couldn't help but see the vulnerable child in the White fur.
"It will be fine. He won't cause any ruscus. And if he does Devon can't even blame us. ," Kevin reassured him, he ignored his the churning of his stomach . "I will marry the demon. Let us prepare though. I do not want it wandering anywhere near the pack." Stefan looked away. He was disgusted.
"Yes," Sebastian agreed. "We'll have to prepare.". Clearly he was bothered by everything. This wasn't fair. Kevin has always waited for his mate. He remembered how Kevin had been guitly after he had some drunken kiss during his early teen. He loved his mate so much. And with time Sebastian was able to accept it. He had accepted that one day he would lose Kevin to his mate. But he never thought the possibility of loosing him to a Demon, who had lied about being Kevin's mate made his blood boil. He wanted to curse the Goddess. He had always wanted Kevin to be happy. He was the only person he had loved. There was nothing he could deny him. But this was fucked up. His Alpha, his Pack Leader was sacrifing himself in an unwanted marriage. And the person he would be bound to was a cold hearted demon. And there was nothing he could do. He felt helpless.
Sebastian's eyes met with Stefan. His mate. Who looked at him in contempt. He sighed. He didn't want to deal with him. The situation with Kevin was already stressing him out. He didn't needed a jealous Omega now.
The Elders nodded after a long discussion.They didn't wanted to cause any complications. As they decided to accept the treaty. It was stated that after the bond is formed the Demon is to be kept in the Alpha household. Restricting his moments only using when needed to kill strong rouges. And if he retaliated it was agreed to have him killed or restrained in the cells. Stefan could only scoff at the thought.
That poor guy. He didn't know how but he had an inkling that Evan was Kevin's mate.
Then maybe this absurdity will end or not he didn't know. Will his brother be able to accept the Albino as his mate. Beast tribes mated for life. There were also pairs who weren't mates. But it was their choice. It's not like there will be deaths if not mated. But sometimes it happened. Some mates get so invested that they loose their minds when rejected. Maybe his brother won't commit this mistake. Unlike him. Maybe his brother will be happy.
He can only hope for it. He prayed to the Goddess to grant his wish.

When the next meeting came Kevin had expected for the Demon to be present there but he wasn't.As he sat next to Devon he could smell his mates smell on him. Jealousy flared in him as the talks proceeded. But the stupid wolf didn't sense the murderous aura directed at him. He smiled wide at his friend and nodded to the girl sitting beside him. A girl with blond hair with a composed aura Unlike Devon. He grinned at her. "Kevin meet my mate and Luna Kareena Smith. " He said. Kevin sighed. "Sorry Miss, I didn't know Please forgive my rude behavior" He said to her nodding. She smiled at him. Clearly an Omega but she looked strong. "Its nice to meet you Kevin, Devon has told me so much about you and don't apologize I understand how much of a dolt my mate can be" She said and laughed. Kevin smiled at her . He wanted to know about the smell that Devon carried with. But now was not the time. He had important matters to discuss. A day before yesterday two corpses were found near the borderline of the Nightshade pack. They were foxes. They must have belonged to the Foxglove pack. Their bodies were clearly torn apart. Maybe it was another Chimera who did that. Sebastian was quick to explain everything about the incident. And as it was pressumed there were missing complaints from the Foxglove Pack as well as the Crimson Desert Pack. The situation was turning out to be unfavorable. The neighbouring packs were still not allied.
" Why don't we send them invitation to join our Pack" Kareena asked after some time.
'Well they will not be willing to bow down." Devon said. Deep in thought.
"But you guys aren't bowing each other. Why can't there be allied forces without having to step down" She asked. And it was actually making sense.
"But you said about joining the pack" Sebastian asked.
" We are building a combined place for both the packs to thrive. Why not invite the other packs to join. The area is large and it can easily hold two or more packs. I heard the Crimson Desert Pack had survived on the barren lands for so long. They have practically decreased in numbers. And Foxglove Pack has been targeted by the witches. So I think it's okay to make an offer. The white Carnation have already expressed their views on alliance, I say it will be okay " Kareena said. The idea was well thought. It could actually work.
"You have already decided haven't you " Kevin asked. Kareena was sure something. She had actually thought about everything. She was just suggesting it.
"Was it you ?" Kevin couldn't help but ask.
"You are in for a surprise, have patience " Kareena said laughing.
