Solomon shook his head without missing a beat. "I am currently enrolled at the Live Streaming Academy. I cannot join any other factions. Even if that restriction did not exist, I have zero desire to get involved with kingdoms or royal politics."
'Especially if I have to travel to different worlds in search for ruined kingdoms in the hope of finding their crowns to eat.'
Gideon did not press the issue. He simply accepted the rejection with a graceful nod before shifting his gaze to the massive executioner's sword strapped to Solomon's back.
"Is that the holy relic once wielded by the champion of Eden?" Gideon asked.
Solomon immediately grew defensive, gripping the heavy leather strap crossing his chest. "Yes, it is."
"Would you grant me the honor of holding it for a moment?" the older knight requested softly.
Solomon contemplated the risks for a few seconds. The paladin could easily overpower him if he tried to steal the weapon.
