Thalia quietly stared at William, countless emotions filling her eyes.
Her hand was still clasped tightly around his left hand while he drove calmly with the other.
"Why?" William smiled faintly, his eyes still focused on the road. "Do I look unreal?"
Thalia pouted immediately.
"How can you stay this calm?"
"Then what should I do?" he asked lightly. "Roar every second?"
He glanced at her briefly before chuckling at his own terrible joke.
But Thalia only looked even more troubled.
"No—I mean…" Her pout deepened as she struggled to find the right words. "I just…"
She stopped halfway.
Because she genuinely didn't know how to comfort someone who looked like he didn't want to be comforted at all.
In the end, she let out a small sigh before turning to look out the window.
