"Boss…"
Beto called out carefully before leaning slightly closer to William, who was sitting motionlessly on the waiting chair in front of the operation room.
"We got that man."
William's eyes snapped open instantly.
"Where is he?" He stood up immediately, looking ready to tear apart the person who dared touch Thalia.
But Beto's expression turned heavier.
"Boss… but..." His voice lowered hesitantly. "He's dead."
The moment William heard that, his temper exploded instantly.
"What the hell are all of you doing?!" William roared.
The entire hallway instantly fell silent.
Robert, who had been standing quietly at the back all this time, lowered his gaze slightly.
The guilt of leaving his post earlier still weighed heavily on him.
Meanwhile, Beto quickly continued, "We caught him alive at first, Boss," he explained carefully. "But before we could bring him in, he suddenly collapsed."
William's eyes darkened dangerously.
"Collapsed?"
Beto nodded stiffly.
