William and Thalia sat quietly in the dining room, the heavy conversation from earlier still lingering between them.
For once, even William had very little to say.
Meanwhile, Thalia slowly continued explaining bits and pieces about the past.
"The you back then…" she murmured softly while tracing the rim of her glass absentmindedly, "had the same face, the same name…"
William listened quietly.
"Even your brother was the same."
His brows furrowed slightly. "Elijah too?"
Thalia nodded slowly.
The atmosphere became strangely quiet afterward.
Because the more William listened, the more unsettling it felt.
It was almost as if their lives had been repeating themselves all over again.
Meanwhile, Thalia's gaze slowly lowered toward the glass of water in front of her.
Her reflection wavered faintly against the surface.
And unknowingly, her fingers tightened slightly around the glass.
Because she had lied earlier.
A nine-tailed fox's heart could heal.
