Mario sat back in the chair, but no one around him noticed that he was already dead.
The bullet entered from the side below Mario's heart, avoiding the ribs, creating a large cavity inside his chest, then turned and exited through a big hole in his back.
The person sitting behind Mario screamed loudly because the blood sprayed straight backward from the hole in Mario's back, splattering all over the faces of several people behind him.
Just after Mario sat down, the man who had snatched the cane from Hammer suddenly heard a crisp sound, and a wisp of green smoke emerged from the tip of the cane.
"He has a gun! He fired it!"
After Hammer's full-throated but terrified shout, a sharp and high-pitched soprano screamed in French.
"He fired a gun, he has a bomb! Run!"
Both voices came from Hammer's mouth, and after screaming, Hammer stood up and ran outside, stumbling and pushing aside viewers as he rushed out.
