Chiasm

A mystical fantasy world ridden with epic style monsters and adventure, a world named by its inhabitants "FERO", deriving from the the earthly realm bearing and anchoring all other realms togheter, acting as the central hub of the universe, ruled by the "Five Magics" and its forlorn dietys, Sorcery, Divinity, Alchemy, elementary arts and the disaster arts. [Magic Overview] The 5 magics compromise of different "transit" sources, ultimately however, all forms of "magic" derive from the stars and draw on the power of constellations, how powerfull the sources one draws on will depend on the users adeptness rather than innate ability,in rare cases unique "innate" abilities may be blessed upon someone, wether by a god or a fleeting memory, a blessing holds great power regardless of who endows it due to the difficulties of granting one, the constellation one can draw on will mark thheir status and will greatly affect interactions. A 6th magic exists, unattainable by regular means, theorised to draw on neither godly, humane, or impure sources, said to grant a unique insight into the universe, driving all its users mad to extinction. [Story overview] Following the story of "Astreaus" or otherwise nicknamed Astran by his companions. He awakes in the middle of the mountains on the bank of an abnormal river that floats upstream, Astran soon finds that he cannot recall even his own name nor any of his memories. After a series of events, being rescued to the Myn kingdoms stronghold, situated in a realm nicknamed the moons embrace, Astran sets out on his journey to regain his memories and learn the truth behind the river which washed him up in the mountains, only to find it gone on the next visit, stumping his journey right on the first step. Astran is unusually adept at survival and magic, developing a cunning personality he soon learns of a great danger looming across the land, it is revealed the Sol king has taken pity on the Myn kingdom, and has allowed for one year preparation before an imminent and bloody war breaks out. Astran takes heed of this, seeing it as an opportunity to find more about his past by seeking the strongest warriors and sorcerers across the earthly realm, learning more about the world and its oddities. Along the way he finds companions, uncovers dark and twisted truths, grows proficiently as a person and continues to gain insight into the world of Fero, and its surrounding realms along the journey to the Sol King. [Author Note] This is my first novel so any suggestions about moving forward with the plot, critiques on the writing style etc. Are much appreciated!

The Sandman's Return

The world didn’t end in fire. It rotted while people were still alive. Fear seeped into humanity like corrosion. Some endured. Most didn’t. Those who broke twisted into monsters called Evildoers—predators born from what humans couldn’t survive. Bell lasted two years in that world. Not as a hero. Not as a chosen one. Just someone worn down, cornered, and finally betrayed during the fall of a human fortress—sold out by a survivor consortium that needed a scapegoat to escape. Death should have taken him there. Instead, Bell activated a cursed item he never fully understood. Dream Dust didn’t save him. It erased him. What rose in his place was no longer human—an empty, starving shell the Abyss eagerly shaped into a weapon. That existence would later be remembered as the Sandman, an Evildoer so lethal that even monsters avoided its path. Humanity fought back. Heroes burned their lives trying to stop it. They failed. The Sandman was never killed. By a fracture of fate too cruel to call mercy, what returned to the past was not Bell’s body—but fragments of his memories, shattered into recurring dreams and inherited by his younger self. A few days before the apocalypse begins, Bell opens his eyes again. He knows the truth now: The Sandman is not him— but it was born from the moment he lost himself. Having gazed deeper into the Abyss than any human should survive, Bell carries fragments of its rules… and glimpses of its flaws. Whether those insights are real—or remnants left behind by something inhuman—he doesn’t know. But he knows this: If he loses himself again, humanity won’t get another chance. And the more control he gains… the more the Abyss remembers the blade it once wielded.
