Brian and World

Brian and World: A Novel The world speaks in songs, and Brian Bennett is finally ready to listen. For Brian Bennett, life isn't lived in linear time, but in crescendos and decrescendos. From the cramped console of his childhood bedroom to the electric buzz of queer nightlife, music is his only reliable compass. It’s the constant filter through which he processes the world's beauty, its injustice, and his own complicated place within it. As a young gay man finding his feet in the intricate and often intimidating modern world, Brian’s journey is a search for harmony—a blend of self-acceptance and genuine connection. He navigates a series of challenging duets: the quiet isolation of feeling different, the triumphant blast of artistic expression, and the often-discordant search for lasting love. Each crush, each defining moment, and each devastating heartbreak forms a new, painful, or beautiful movement in his ongoing symphony. Through the complex rhythms of first loves, profound betrayals, and the unwavering bonds of chosen family, Brian learns that every great composition requires both tension and release. He must confront the difficult truth that not every note will be perfect, and that some songs must end for the next one to begin. Brian and World is an intimate, moving, and resonant novel about what it takes to stop performing and start living, and how one man finally learns to conduct the beautiful, complicated orchestra of his own life.

Gearbound: Cyberpunk 2077

In a world of cybernetic upgrades, Leo takes a different path—mastering external gear and stacking skills like Sword Mastery LV10, Physique LV10, and Dodge LV10. With sheer skill and cutting-edge tech, he outclasses even the most deranged Cyberpsychos. ------------- System, Cyberpunk 2077 game and Edgerunner, Male MC, The Mc hasn't played the game-so doesn't know the plot. The System is similar to "Gamer" genera and is more focused on Perks. ------------------------------------------- Since I've noticed some misunderstanding on the reasons behind Leo's strength, let me clarify: The system used in this novel is comparable to that of the gamer genre. Leo is a pure human who doesn't rely on cyberwar; instead, his power derives from System-driven advancement, primarily from Perks and gradually leveling up skills. Leo's growth is entirely internal, in opposed to the majority of Cyberpunk 2077 characters who gain strength through implants. As part of the System, his body changes, and when he reaches specific milestones, he unlocks special Perks—a very common feature in Gamer-style settings. Also, Leo creates weapons, armor, and gadgets that are so sophisticated that even elite corpos struggle to match them, further enhancing his skills. I hope that clarifies things for anyone who was confused, didn't notice the "Gamer" tag, or simply doesn't understand how that genre operates. Also while it is a Gamer-eks system it really just gives some skills and perks. Nothing like the actual Gamer system. Does are to OP and often boring in my opinion. Shadow Slave: Weaving a New Path

Humanity was never meant to survive — it was designed to kill. The Spell, Weaver’s grand design, was not salvation but a weapon: a system to forge humanity strong enough to destroy the Unknown, the eternal predator beyond reality. But something went wrong. One man — one shadow — broke his chains and defied destiny. Sunny’s rebellion against fate unraveled the design itself. The threads of prophecy twisted beyond Weaver’s reach, and the future became unreadable. The Unknown stirred before its death could be written. Humanity fell. As the world crumbled, Weaver made a final, desperate choice. He wove not another Spell, but a being. Using his own flesh, his last eye, and the fragments of eternity, he created Tessera — a living thread meant to restore the design that once guided humankind. A creature neither divine nor mortal, born from the fabric of inevitability itself. Now cast backward through the tattered tapestry of time, Tess awakens in Bastion — the last city of mankind — with one purpose: To guide the one who shattered fate toward the ending that was meant to be. But the world she falls into no longer follows any script. Sunny is no longer just a pawn of destiny — he is the flaw that rewrote the pattern. And as Tess walks beside him, threads of choice, love, and despair begin to weave into something even Weaver never foresaw. For the first time in eternity, fate is not written — it’s alive. And even the Weaver’s child may not escape what it creates.

The Cost of Air

The Cost of Air By Ajani Musa In a city where even breathing has a price, one man dares to make it free. Lagos — restless, loud, unrepentant — is a place where the powerful thrive on chaos, and the poor choke on what’s left. Amid the noise and greed stands Bayo Adeniran, a principled engineer determined to build clean projects in a dirty system. But when he saves a gasping child from dying in traffic, the act of mercy shatters his carefully controlled world. That single moment pulls him into a storm of corruption, secrets, and power — where air itself has become currency. The government’s grand “Air Renewal Project” promises progress, but Bayo soon discovers the truth: it’s a front to profit from pollution, a silent weapon designed to suffocate the city’s poor. As he digs deeper, allies turn to threats, and silence becomes survival. Beside him stands Tope Adegoke, a fearless journalist haunted by her brother’s death in a factory explosion the system buried. Together, they expose a network of elites who control the very air Nigerians breathe. When Lagos is plunged into darkness and fear, their resistance becomes the city’s last breath of hope. But defiance has a cost — and every truth uncovered demands payment in blood, faith, or freedom. The Cost of Air is a powerful socio-political thriller — raw, emotional, and urgent. It asks one question that echoes through every page: If air is life, what happens when life itself becomes a luxury?
