Aylin, the woman who triggered his system, needs him for a ruined world overrun by Yokai. One of those monsters has followed them to Earth, and the system makes its threat simple: kill Yokai Gredudande within seventy-two hours, or Aylin dies.
Jiang has flippers, temporary human time, ice skills he barely controls, and a deal with a nameless prisoner-god he cannot explain. To survive, he has to master the Soul Evolution System before it turns him into another failed experiment.
