Path of Arcana

AureliusDBlack
So... I died. Again. I mean, at this point, I'm pretty sure Lady Death has it out for me personally. First time? Normal kid, normal death, nothing exciting. Second time? Wizard fighting Death Eaters, got hit with Voldemort's killing curse, very dramatic, 10/10 would not recommend. Third time's the charm, right? Except now I'm a sixteen-year-old New Yorker living in the MCU—the motherfucking Marvel Cinematic Universe. Yeah. That MCU. The one where aliens invade, robots try to exterminate humanity, and a purple space tyrant eventually snaps half of all life out of existence. No pressure or anything. I just have to : - Craft a functional wand (kind of a must-have for every wizard, and Amazon is surprisingly unhelpful) - Keep my magic hidden from S.H.I.E.L.D. - Definitely stay off Hydra's radar - Maybe prevent the apocalypse? If I have time? - Survive high school (honestly might be harder than the apocalypse) So yeah, if you want to follow me on this absolutely ridiculous adventure of trying not to die (again) in a universe that's actively trying to kill everyone, come along. It's gonna be a wild ride. ------------------------------ Hey guys, I'm Aurelius D. Black, your author, and welcome to Path of Arcana (or How to Survive and Maybe Craft Hogwarts in Another World). This is an MTL novel I read years ago but dropped because the translation was... rough, to put it mildly. So I decided to take matters into my own hands and rewrite it myself. Here's the result. I don't own Marvel or Harry Potter—I'm not rich enough for Disney or Warner Bros. to come after me, so please don't sue. This is purely a fan project. If you want to support my work, you can also find me on Patreon : patreon.com/AureliusDBlack There will be around 10 to 15 chapters in advance. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy the ride! Quick note: English isn't my first language, so please bear with me if there are occasional grammar or spelling errors. I'm doing my best to improve with each chapter, and constructive feedback is always welcome!

A Tale between two Cities

The City full with Mask In the cold steel of the heart of London, where the River of Thames mirrors neon ambitions, powers were being weaned to a polished smile. Skyscrapers rise like monuments to wealth, and within their glass of towers the financial elites trade fortunes and secrets. Corruptions being hidden behind tailored suits and refined accents. Their reputation is a currency, and truth is a liability to them. Across the Channels, in restless Paris, the beauty of a trembles with defiance. Cafés buzz with so much whispers to manifestos, artists painting their revolution into alley walls, and their protests surge through historic streets. Romance lingers in a way that the air is full of smiles, but so does danger lies. The city is so alive with a ghost path, of lost ideals, broken promises being made, and a justice system that bends under unseen hands. When a powerful individual in London's financier system is being accused of a crime that could be so reviewed to be an exposing network of international corruption in place, the battle that led to a symbolic courtroom where the truth and lies are being collided. Evidence disappearing, with witnesses recant. Justice on its own, seems to stand trials, corrupted by their influence and fear. Amid the chaos that arises, a hidden sanctuary in the Montmartre becomes a refuge in turn with a secret loft where poets are lined, activists, and lovers dare to imagine their freedom. It is in this light, that alliances are forged and their courage is reborn. The conflict hurtles toward their climax atop a London tower, high above their glittering Thames. The windswept rooftop, masks fall away. The betrayal that met loyalty, that also confronted love with a hidden ambition. The City of Masks, which is a gripping tale of powers, rebellions, and the fragile lines in between justice and illusion, where cities become their characters, and with their survivals demands more than it's courage; it demands everything from them..
