After I opened the doors, I unfolded the floors inside. I lowered a pulley system that held the extra bedroom set that I will place on the bottom floor since tonight I wanted to sleep here with the doors open and free from distractions. By the time I was done getting everything into its place, I heard Bella, my favorite cook, talking to someone.
"You will find her in there, dear." Bella's sweet voice drifted through the open doors even though they were at the entrance.
"How do you know?" Jasper asked sounding nervous.
"This is her hide away. She comes here to unwind, or when she needs to get away from the castle, or whenever what happened just happened. Now do not go upsetting her anymore or else you will have to deal with me." Bella explained.
Hearing how much she cared about me made me smile. I always thought of her as a second grandmother.
"I promise I won't." Jasper replied as he opened the door. "Bye Bella and thank you."
Bella didn't reply as she walked off. I stayed curled up in the blankets on the bed and watched the water. I listened to Jasper's foot steps come closer to the railing on the second floor. I could hear him whispering about how cool this place was. When he reached the railing, I heard him chuckle as he seen me curled up in a tiny ball on the massive bed. He walked down the stairs and over to the bed. I didn't look at him one time He set down a cake in front of my line of sight. I final broke and smiled as I sat up. I accepted the peace offering.
"So she is alive." Jasper joked as I patted the bed next to me for him to sit. He joined me on the bed before I spoke.
"Why are you here?" I questioned him since this is the first time someone has tried to find me.
"To say sorry for Maya. She is just stressed and does not know what to do when royals ask to help." he explained.
"Thank you for trying to make me feel better." I said as I took a bite of cake.
"I also heard what your sister said and mother too." he said making me freeze. "I'm sorry for that too."
"It's fine I'm used to it. Are you going to the festival tonight?" I asked trying to change the topic.
"Yes. Would you like to be my, Prince Jasper Nicklaus Ive's, date to the festival?" he asked and emphasized on the word prince.
"Your parents got married already?"
"Yes they did, this morning and an hour ago my mother was crowned queen. I have to deliver the notice of divorce to Catherien today and the crowning of the new queen and heir. Also another announcement for the nobles and royals so tonight is the perfect time to do so or at least at one of the events this week. I think that after what they said about you, garners the hit to their egos. So will a princess accompany a prince to a festival?" he said trying to conjugal me into going on the basis of revenge.
I have to admit that it worked. "Yes, I will. The look on Catherien's face is going to priceless. I wasn't gong to go originally but this I will go for. That and I have a handsome date too." I said as I ate the last bites of cake left. "Thank you for the cake."
"You're welcome. Come we need to get ready. It's almost time for it to start." Jasper said as he helped me out of bed.
He helped me close the doors and commenting about how he is going to have one of these made at his castle but on the ocean. I'm not gonna lie, that made me super excited to see. He walked me back to my room and told me to wear the brightest white dress I own. I knew that everyone was going to be wearing some shade of blue since the theme was the ocean.
