The old man sitting under the tree with a surprised expression didn't have any idea about what these boys were thinking as he looked at them trudging towards him with a rabbit in Milo's hands. They would often laugh while talking with each other.
"Huh? What the hell. " He found it incomprehensible. Why would the brats chose not to run away but instead chose to stay here.'What are they even thinking?'
'No that doesn't matter. They are kids afterall they are still naive and might not even know what slavery is.'
He thought as shook his head and sighed again.
He was somewhat right too they really were kids, driven by pure curiosity though not naivety.
He lightly beat his head as he thought on how to deal with these brats.
'Guess I'll try scaring them away. ' He thought as he grinned. The same scary grin that sacred those so called naive kids a bit earlier in time. He closed his eyes again as the boys drew closer.
As Milo and Kazuki stopped in front of the old man and were about to call out to him an annoyed voice rang out.
"What took you so long? Huh! " the old man said as he opened his eyes.
"But" Kazuki was about to rebuke but was stopped by his voice again
"You brats really are useless huh. No wonder you took your sweet time. And what is this huh? all you could get was this little rabbit. "
'What do want us to get then? a tiger' As Milo thought in his head.
the surrounding air suddenly got hotter and the old man's eyes were glowing like earlier again.
"ku ek" Both kids grunted at the same time as sweat beads rolled down their faces and their breathing got heavier.
'Its this feeling again. ' as the pressure increased both boys found it hard to even think properly, with their muddled head they could only listen to what this person was saying but not understand it.
"Tch" The old man clicked his tunge in annoyance as he stood up while both boys retreated at the same time.
"You are useless. It's better if you scuttle back to your moms or don't blame me swatting you brats to death. " The old man imagined the kids to cry or run away towards their home the pressure was supposed to make them shiver in fear because even if they were kids it was natural instinct of every being to be scared of stronger ones.
The kids bodies sure were trembling but was it fear? we're they scared?
Yes they were scared but not from the pressure they were scared only from the old man's face.
The pressure though irresistible wasn't scary for them. They were only reacting to the mana that the old man released in order pressure them, their bodies to be more exact.
"Ba dump" They could hear their own heart beats and their ears were ringing.
The old man looked at the kids holding their chest and sweating with a puzzled face.
'Why are they standing still? Why not just run away? Ahh! Don't tell me is the pressure too much for them, if they stay like they will soon be dead " As he had this thought the old man stopped exuding his mana
As the pressure receded the kids slowly regained their thinking and looked up to the old man's face and
"Huh! " Milo
"Huh! " Kazuki
"Huh!" the old man's eyes widened at their lukewarm reaction
"I told you two to get lost useless brats" the old man was really pissed this time and even though the kids didn't know why they could feel it as well.
"Oh! " Kazuki slowly muttered as if he only realised what the old man was saying only now which only further fumed the old man. Before old man could about to burst in rage again
"As senior wishes" Milo lightly bowed held Kazuki's hand and walked away, Kazuki also didn't resist and simply followed Milo silently.
The old man was surprised yet again by their reaction
'They are way too calm. Don't they even know fear?'
"Tch! " But of course he was annoyed even more by that.
