After they had walked far enough from the old man Milo released a deep breath he had been holding for while now.
As both of them wiped their faces with their clothes they realised that they were feeling a lot more tired after that old man's outburst.
"That geezer" they both uttered at the same time, they weren't really scared of the old man after spending some time with him. They felt that the old man wasn't a bad person but still he was a stranger and they had to careful around him specially after seeing how he was easily annoyed.
They both looked at each other and then chuckled lightly.
"I would have liked to see some magic " Kazuki said in a low tone sad by the fact that they were chased by the old man without even seeing him do any magic.
"Nothing we can do about it. " said Milo from the side in a flat tone as he shrugged his shoulders.
And after staying silent for while
"That pressure though, it was really something!" he muttered slowly as his blue eyes glowed with happiness. And Kazuki also agreed as he nodded his head.
"It's getting late" said Kazuki as he looked at the sky .
"Hmm let's go" said Milo as he started walking towards their village with fast steps and Kazuki followed.

"Crack! " the sound of a branch snapping rang out.
The old man who had just closed his eyes to finally relax was holding a broken branch in hand and his eyes were glowing with mana.
"Who did they just called a geezer? huh! " he spat those words slowly as he grit his teeth in anger and annoyance.
The grass under him had already burnt to ashes.

In a place not too far away from there in a stone building that looked a bit bigger than those around it but still had some broken parts here and there.
A woman with silver hair was walking to and fro while biting her lower lip. She wore plain black coloured clothes with full sleaves that despite being old couldn't make her look shabby at all.
Even in her 30s with those worry filled eyes she looked beautiful.
"When are those brats planning to come back. It's already so late and even the sky is getting dark. "
she spoke as she bit her lips again and again.
"It's not like its the first time those two have gone out. May be they aren't even in the woods anymore, you know Milo is smart he won't really won't really stay there this late. They will be back before you know it so just calm down. You will ruin your lips at this rate"
A middle aged man who was sitting on wooden chair nearby who looked to be in his 40s said with a sigh.
"Shut up. What else could they be doing in this small village then huh?sightseeing?" She spat angrily towards the man as she glared daggers at him. The man in return also shrunk back due to her glare.
"They are probably in some trouble otherwise they would be back by now. " she slowly uttered these words as her eyes were filled with worry again.
The women with silver hair was Lisa she ran this orphanage since 11 years ago. She had also grown up in this orphanage since she was a little kid and when she was 22 years old she had taken the responsibility to run this house. She knew what it meant to not have anyone in her life so she tried her best to give love and care to those who didn't have anyone in their life. Although she loved all the children in this house Milo and Kazuki were special to her she had known them since they were left here by someone 10 years ago. They were still newborn babies of some month old and she treated them like her children since then. So of course she was worried about them. Its not like they never went outside, they were good kids wanted to help her with some menial tasks but it was the first time that they had been so late so of course she would be worried.
Lisa looked at the sulking man sitting there with a hint of anger again
"What are you doing sitting there? Go and look for them already. " She angrily said as she stared at the man again.
"O- Ok"
The sulking man flinched and uttered in low voice with a wronged look before walking away as fast as he could.
