Anger is a fundamental human emotion that spans a broad spectrum of intensity, ranging from mild irritation or annoyance to intense rage or fury. It is an evolutionary and adaptive response, fundamentally linked to the body's "fight or flight" mechanism, signaling a perceived threat, injustice, violation, or frustration.
When triggered by external events (like conflict, traffic, or unfair treatment) or internal processes (like rumination or worry), the body experiences a cascade of physiological changes: heart rate and blood pressure increase, muscles tense, and stress hormones like adrenaline flood the system, preparing the person for confrontation or defense.
Unimaginable anger is a state of absolute, blinding fury that overwhelms the individual, feeling less like an emotion and more like a physical possession or a cataclysmic force taking control.
It goes far beyond normal frustration, manifesting as a complete rupture of rational thought where the only impulse is to violently eliminate or destroy the source of the pain. Physically, the body is flooded with an incandescent heat, the heart races like a frantic drum, and the world narrows into tunnel vision, often described as "seeing red," while muscles tense to the point of pain.
It is an experience of total loss of control, where the intensity of the reaction is grossly disproportionate to the trigger, transforming the person into a momentary, quivering vessel of pure, elemental rage.
In this sense, Jinwoo feels this kind of emotion towards Argie, and this emotion snapped something inside Jinwoo. In that moment as adrenaline rushed to his head, the whole world seemed to slow down and voices were silenced.
In that very moment he had entered the zone, which is termed in this world triggered the genetic lock. As recap what genetic lock is, this type of phenomenon is what scientist calls the situation where human uses the whole 100% of their brain. Scientists believes that throughout the ages, humans were never able to use the full capabilities of their brain. Due to that, the were never able to fully showcase the full capability of a human being.
At first this theory was rebuked as fantasy and not true, but upon seeing humans performing superhuman capabilities when undergoing immense stress, such theory was reopened again and was researched. But despite learning about it, only few managed to attain such state. Not everyone could enter such state and not everyone could freely use it.
Upon unlocking his genetic lock which made Jinwoo capable of using the whole 100% capabilities of his brain. He was then able to enhance all his capabilities, turning him into an even more monster than he already was.
For a normal human, they became a superhuman when unlocking their genetic lock and entering a zone. But for mutated human like them who can already perform superhuman feats without it, you can just imagine how much chaos that would make. Due to entering this state even if Jinwoo is in extreme anger, his face became devoid of emotion as his emotions were masked and the only thought in his head was to eliminate the very reason why he had undergo such stress.
Of course despite this incredible state which can attract anyone who wishes to grow stronger, this state not only is it short term use but it's also a double edged sword.
The normal heart rate of a human per minute is 60 to 100 when it is relaxed. When it is in extreme exercised state it goes up to 170 to 200 heartbeat per minute. But with the genetic lock unlocked, the heart rate of a normal human would increase up to 300 to 600 per minute just to maintain such performance.
Just looking at the numbers, it is already understanble why such state is only temporary since prolonged use of such state could lead to either meltdown or cardiac arrest. So for Jinwoo he has two options if he want to survive, it is either defeating Argie before he burns out or calming himself down and forget about defeating Argie to avoid risk of dying.
In this state of war, it is only natural to guess what he would choose.
Inside this phenomenon, Jinwoo rushed towards Argie, as the latter simply laughed and rushed at him.
Conjuring one chain claw on his right and a chain axe on his left, Argie swung both weapons at him multiple times only for Jinwoo to efficie try dodge them with minimal movements. Upon seeing this Argie quickly charged his weapon into an huge chain blade, as he spun around and swung it towards Jinwoo.
Unfortunately this attack missed its target when Jinwoo ducked down and countered with a powerful uppercut which drew back Argie's head.
Hearing the ringing pain in his ear, Argue gritted his teeth to get ahold of himself as he swung a chain mace at Jinwoo, only for the latter to parry his attack to the side and proceeded to punch down his arm and countered with an underlying straight to Argies armored face.
Even though the armor managed to protect him, the shockwave of the attack bypassed through his flesh and armor and shook the insides of his body.
From there Argie saw the state of Jinwoo as he laughed and grabbed his arm, before he conjured a chain dagger on his free hand and thrust it towards Jinwoo. Unfortunately Jinwoo caught this attack with his arm and twisted it to break the blade off from Argie's chain armor.
The moment Jinwok twisted off the weapon off him, Argie then kicked jinwoo away as he was amused at the state Jinwok had entered to defeat him. After all this was the same state that both Ryuuji and Kanzaki had entered to defeat him.
Even though he can't enter such phenomenon, this was the perfect moment to see which state was stronger. The zoned state where humanbrrak through his limits, or the perfect state where humans achieved perfection in all fields.
Such chances to see which state is stronger greatly enticed Argie as he taunted Jinwoo.
"That state, that look, that prowess... I clearly remember the feeling of going against such phenomenon... well done agent whose name I care less, you have proven yourself worthy to test my theory, come show me the full capabilities of a human being who surpassed his limits and I will show you the full capability of a human who reached perfection... let's see which state is the real pinnacle of humanity"
