Lee Mansion - Study
Mr. Lee looked out the window, his face pale and tired. "Is everything ready?"
"Of course, everything is ready, Mr. Chairman," Mr. Tang said, placing the files on the desk.
"Mr. Tang, it's confidential," Mr. Lee whispered. "So prepare everything quickly."
"Don't worry, Chairman. Everything is ready. Just sign these papers and meet the directors."
"Okay. Where is Jimmy?" Mr. Lee asked.
Grande bowed. "Jimmy went to meet his friend Leo."
"Okay."
Mr. Tang hesitated. "Chairman... Aara is coming next week. Why are we preparing everything now?"
Mr. Lee's eyes darkened. "Because she is going to face so many problems in the future. So I have to help her a little. Tang... protect my kids, no matter what."
"I will, Mr. Chairman."
Next Morning
Grande went to the Chairman's room with his morning tea — and screamed.
Something was wrong. Very wrong.
She called the doctor immediately. He checked, then shook his head slowly.
He was dead.
Within hours, the news went viral on the internet. X Group Chairman Lee Found Dead.
Everyone was informed.
Night Club - That Night
Jimmy's phone rang. He laughed with his friends, then answered.
His smile disappeared.
He was shocked after hearing about his father's death. He ran out, got in his car, and drove quickly toward home.
He never reached.
Leo's House
Leo saw his father's face and knew. "What happened, Dad? Is everything okay?"
Mr. Tang's voice was heavy. "The Chairman is dead."
"What? How? Let me go with you—"
"No," Mr. Tang stopped him. "Jimmy is in the hospital. Go and see him."
"What?"
Leo rushed to the hospital. Last night, Jimmy's car had met with an accident. He was badly injured.
London
Aara was sleeping peacefully in her room, knowing nothing.
Her phone rang.
She picked up. Her hands started shaking.
She packed her things in minutes.
Her roommate asked, "Hey, what happened?"
"My father is dead," Aara said, her voice hollow. "I have to go now."
She ran to the airport. Her flight landed in Korea hours later.
So many press reporters were waiting for her. X Group securities protected her and took her straight to the funeral.
After seeing Aara, Jay and his mother stood silently, watching her.
Aara knelt before her father's photo, tears falling. "Dad... don't worry. I'll take care of myself. And I'll take care of Jimmy oppa."
After the Mourning
Aara went to meet Jimmy in the hospital. Leo was already there.
"What happened to my brother?" she demanded.
"We don't know too," Leo said softly. "That night his car... it was an accident. But thankfully he is okay."
Aara's eyes sharpened. "My father is dead and my brother met with an accident on the same day. Don't you think it's suspicious?"
"Aara, you just came here," Leo said. "Take rest and leave everything to me. I'll find out."
"No," Aara said firmly. "I'm going to stay with my brother."
"Aara, listen to me," Leo pleaded. "Go home. I'll take care of everything. Come and meet your brother later, okay? So Min, take her."
So Min gently pulled her. "Let's go, Aara."
Aara went to rest at the Lee mansion.
Next Day - Lee Mansion
After resting, Aara got ready to meet her brother. When she came to the ground floor, she met Jay and his mother.
Soo Young put on a sad face. "Aara, we are sorry for everything. Everything happened suddenly. We don't know too."
Aara stopped, her gaze icy. "My father is dead and my brother met with an accident on the same day. Don't you think it's suspicious?"
Jay stepped forward, angry. "So you're saying we are the ones behind everything?"
Aara gave him a cold stare. "I don't know who is behind everything yet. But don't worry... I'll find out soon."
She walked away, leaving Jay burning with anger.
