When I turned 18 everything changed...Let me tell you how it all happened.
It was a sunny day, birds were chirping and the wind was moving like all the happiness would come and it would be a great day but..... all the good things must come to an end.
I was getting ready to go to college.
When my mom suddenly shouted "Lara come down fast you're late! Eat your breakfast and get going"
"Coming, Mom!," I shouted as I ran downstairs. I took the breakfast, just another average toasted sandwich and said "Bye, Mom. I love you"
"Okay be careful sweety I love you too," spoke my mother.
I was in such a rush that I didn't even have time to eat my breakfast. I was holding it in my mouth and just running, there was a traffic light and the cars were rushing due to the super busy road, so I had to wait but...There, I saw an old man staring at me creepily like he knew something was about to happen. I ignored it as I got chills just seeing that creepy old guy
"What a weirdo guy", I muttered to myself. I was glad that the traffic light turned red and I rushed to school.
**Bell rings**
All the students fill the hallways as they all slowly leave the school premises.
"Ugh, I hate school why does it gotta be so freaking tiring," said my friend Jessica, whom I like to call Jess.
"Hey, come on you say that like every single day," I rolled my eyes.
"But it's not fair why do we have to study so much....ugh, wait!" she said pausing mid sentence, i looked at her confused "What?",
"I know exactly what will fix my mood, let's go shopping!!!"," The dance is just around the corner" said Jess and I agreed gladly since I myself do enjoy shopping.
We went to the mall looking for cute tops and jeans, while we were at it we lost track of time and it was already almost 8 pm since our school ends at 4:30 pm.
"Oh damn it 8 let's get going or we will be so screwed if we don't leave now," I said. Jess agreed and said "My brother is here to pick me up I can drop you off if you like,".
"Nah it's fine my house is just two blocks away I can walk and your brother gets uncomfortable around me for some reason" I replied awkwardly, "As you wish" Jess replied left dialing her brother's number.
I was walking home, I had already walked a block another one to go and then I realised it was so dark and there was just one street lamp, another one after almost 30steps away and most of them were flickering...
"Oh sh*t it's getting so dark" I muttered, I was so scared of the darkness that I started walking faster as my heartbeat increased…
*Tringgg!!!*
"LORD! That caught me off guard" It was my mom calling me, I sighed as I picked up the call. "Lara where in the god's name are you?" my mom shouted from the other side of the phone. As I was about to open my mouth I saw a guy standing not so far away from me, staring at me…
Guess who it was ..., the same old guy.
I froze at the sight of him, I wanted to eagerly run but I would have to run past him, and that thought made me uneasy…
I could only see his face clearly due to the light bouncing off his face, but he was clearly holding onto something.
He then pulled out a knife and stared at me expressionless…and that sent shivers through my spine…
He then proceeded to scrape the wall with the knife as he made eye contact with me.
It was visible through the thin light plunging on the wall from the street light...
