As the airplane resumed its flight, Lukay remained silent for a while before finally turning toward Roan.
"There's something I still don't understand. How were you able to completely ignore the Sondrel Pardal's rotting ability? That fog is the reason those creatures are so troublesome to deal with."
Roan didn't even look away from the map displayed inside the control room. "The answer is simpler than you think. The fog itself is merely a Dark Element ability. It doesn't possess much destructive force on its own. As long as I wasn't directly wounded by its talons or beak, there wasn't anything inside that fog capable of affecting me."
Lukay found it hard to believe. "That doesn't make sense. Plenty of Dark Element cultivators fought Sondrel Pardals over the years. Every single one of them was still affected by the rotting ability. Sure, their Dark Element affinity reduced the effect compared to other cultivators, but none of them could simply fly through the fog like you just did."
