Julian Rhodes asked, "Why did you come?"
"I thought it wasn't far, so I came to see you." Scarlett Xavier put her phone back in her pocket.
Seeing she was about to put away the umbrella, Julian had already taken it and closed it for her.
He looked at her, snow still clinging to her boots.
He was a bit surprised, "You walked over here?"
"The snow's too heavy, it's hard to drive, so I walked."
"Didn't I tell you to stay at home?"
"...It's quite boring to be home alone, so I wanted to come see you."
She spoke calmly, as if walking here from home was no big deal.
Even so, Julian knew the distance from Wyvern Bay to here. Plus with the snow, she'd have to walk at least forty minutes.
He reached out, took her hand, and pulled her into his arms, "Silly."
He realized, the more he's with her, being liked by her feels like such a happy thing.
Though she can drive you crazy when fooling around at home, she truly holds you in her heart.
