She picked up her phone and sent him a message, "Are you still busy?"
There was a lot happening at the hospital today, and in the evening, there was a major car accident. Julian Rhodes was busy for a while, and only went back to rest a bit before picking up his phone to see the message from Scarlett Xavier.
"It's so late, why aren't you asleep yet? Didn't I tell you to sleep early?"
"I miss you."
Julian sat on the chair, looking at the three words on his phone, and curled up his mouth, saying, "I'll come back in the morning to see you, sleep early."
"Are you free? I want to hear you say something."
She was feeling terrible and just wanted to hear his voice.
The next second, Julian's call came through directly.
She answered the phone, and her somewhat trembling voice echoed in the midnight room, "Hello."
As soon as he spoke, it felt like all the loneliness and darkness in the room were dispelled.
Julian's voice was warm, "What happened? Did you have a nightmare?"
