About 4 years ago there was a major disaster that happen all over the world. Many Countries were hit with some sort of explosion. The people in the news were saying it was a meteor that hit earth, others say countries started sending nukes to each other to grab the little resource that was left in world and some say that this was the work of aliens invading us. However, no one is 100% sure of what truly cause this since 60% of the population was killed. All I can do now is keep surviving in this new world, or whats left of it I guess. The only problem is that I'm not exactly sure what to expect, I heard animals were mutated due to whatever cause this and that many people are suffering from a virus know as X-21. What keeps me going now is to find my last family members, I hope they are still alive...

"Marcus you're gonna be late for high school again." A women screaming downstairs.
As Marcus slowly opens his eyes he sees the time being 8:00 am and starts to panic seeing how late it really is.
Marcus throws on his clothes and rushes downstairs.
"Why didn't nobody wake me up" Marcus says as he grabs a piece of toast from the counter.
"I bought you that alarm clock to make sure you woke up early, its not my fault your ears don't work properly" - Marcus mom
"I told you that alarm clock wouldn't wake him up. He sleeps like an old dog." - Arthur (Marcus brother)
"Listen its my senior year of high school, everybody knows it's supposed to be a smooth year." - Marcus
"Just cause you have 1 year left doesn't mean you can slack off unless you want to be working with Arthur and your dad at the factory I suggest you keep getting straight A's and get a scholarship for university." - Marcus mom
"Don't worry I go this, anyways thanks for breakfast, I'll see you more later" - Marcus
Marcus gets his bike from the side of his house and starts peddling to the max until he reaches the school.
Marcus reaches school and throughout the day tries to figure out where his classes are. However, as the day goes by he hears the teachers whispering about the president saying something throughout the hallway.
"Did you hear what the president said last night Mr. Johnson, they said something is close to our solar system and that it's going 80,000 miles per hour. Some people think it's gonna hit the earth." - Mr. Edward ( Science teacher)
"Please Mr. Edward we both know that it will never happen. The chances are too low. Plus the main concern shouldn't be that it's the cost of living, it keeps going higher and higher." - Mr. Johnson ( Science teacher)
"Yeah, I guess your right" - Mr. Edward
After Marcus finishes all his classes and the school day finally ends, he meets his two best friends in the corner of the street. He met Cody through playing video games and met Frank in middle school through a fight after a group try to jump him, ever since that incident they always had each others back. As they started walking and hanging out Cody ask Marcus a question.
"Yo mark who do you think is the hottest girl in our school?" - Cody
"Isn't it obvious, it's Sam."- Marcus
"Sam? Really? I would say it's Rose because of her beautiful eyes and the way she looks at me in gym is so breathtaking." - Cody
"Your both wrong the hottest girl is obviously Lindsey and also the reason why Rose looks at you in gym Cody is because she thinks you're a creep." - Frank
"Frank you're not exactly the most attractive guy, so you have no room to talk to me like that." - Cody
"Guys will you relax even if you guys were slightly attractive those two wouldn't go out with you since they are already dating some rich dude's." - Mark
"Man I wish I was rich so I can get cute girls as well." - Frank
"If you want to get rich maybe go to the casino and try your luck." - Cody
"I wish I could but I'm not old enough to get in." - Frank
"Relax Frank if you really want to get into the casino all you have to do is get a fake Id from Carlos" - Mark
"That guys Id are terrible and it cost way to much." - Frank
"Hahaha, I don't think a rich women will go after a guy like you. They probably go after someone that's 5'11 not some 5'7 guy." - Cody
"Hey it's not my fault that my genetics didn't make me tall. Besides who needs height when I got a package that makes up for that." - Frank
"Whatever you say Frank. Anyways I gotta head this way. I'll catch you guys tomorrow." - Mark
"See you tomorrow." - Frank
"Bye." - Cody
As Mark starts heading home he sees a old homeless men with a sign saying "A FLAMING BLADE WILL MAKE THE EARTH BLEED." However Mark knew that it was just crazy Tom who only wrote those stuff so that he can scare people. Supposedly Tom used to work for the FBI but was fired because he was addicted to drugs. As Mark walks inside he sees his dad watching the news. Like always though his dad would always turn on the television but shortly fall asleep. Mark drops off his backpack in the couch and starts heading to his room but before he does, his mom starts yelling at him. "Mark can you come down here!" Mark starts heading downstairs but looks out the window and see Hundreds of birds spiraled violently across the gray sky, smashing into each other like something had driven them mad and attacking each other like wild dogs. "What is going on with those birds?"
