Tessa Caldwell stopped herself just in time, avoiding calling Faye's name. Instead, she stared at him in surprise, only relaxing when he sat down. She glanced cautiously in Sylvia Coleman's direction while using the menu to shield herself.
Seeing Sylvia Coleman didn't notice her, she let out a small sigh of relief.
She looked at Faye and whispered, "What are you doing here?"
Faye gazed at her with his enticing eyes. "You mentioned wanting to investigate in person, so I came to accompany you. Aren't you happy?"
"Who asked for your company?" Tessa retorted teasingly.
"I want to accompany you," Faye replied affectionately.
Tessa took a sip of water and glanced around, noticing no one seemed to be following Faye. She then asked, "Did you come out alone again? No assistant?"
She really hoped he wouldn't always run around alone, given his status, he could easily be exploited by others.
Faye knew she was worried about him.
