Faye looked at her: "Then explain, how do you use 'throw a brick to attract jade'?"
As he spoke, he placed a peeled grape beside Tessa Caldwell's mouth.
Tessa opened her mouth to take a bite, savoring the taste while saying, "Well... I know this, but I don't want to tell you."
She shifted her position, lying in Faye's arms like a concubine, with a satisfied, mischievous smile, like a fox that got the cream, just short of licking her lips and rolling around on him.
A flash of searing heat swept through the depths of Faye's eyes.
He leaned in to kiss her lips and then said, "Did you give back everything your teacher taught you?"
Tessa quickly denied it: "How could that be, I'm a top student."
"More like a dunce."
Tessa protested: "The book says that if a mom-to-be isn't happy, the baby won't be either."
Faye pinched her nose: "You sure know how to use your privileges."
