Tessa huffed, "Male chauvinists, the lot of you."
Faye's thin lips hooked into a faint smile, oozing charm. "But if you give birth to a boy, Grandpa will immediately start pushing you to have a girl."
"What am I, a brood sow?!"
Tessa made a self‑deprecating joke, then broke into a sweet smile. Faye laughed along with her, and all the gloom from earlier vanished.

The car had just come to a stop at home when the old man hurried over. He'd been waiting for Tessa and Faye to come back; it was obvious how much he cared about this little great‑grandbaby.
Watching Grandpa scurry over so nervously, Faye suddenly felt a little bittersweet. Most people live the life they want, yet often overlook the family who've loved them their whole lives.
And their demands aren't much—just hoping you'll settle down and have kids soon.
"Bella, is it confirmed?" Grandpa Green asked.
Tessa gave a shy smile and nodded. "It's confirmed, Grandpa."
