Tessa Caldwell looked at him mischievously and teased, "Mr. Carver, so you have times when you can't figure things out too?"
"It's fun to play with me..." Faye hugged her and then gently nibbled on her lips.
"I'm not playing with you. The doctor said it's twins. You said you only wanted one, but I said that won't do. Haven't I already told you?" Tessa pouted, but a sly smile played on her lips.
What? Twins? Faye was momentarily stunned before he reacted.
It's hard to describe the feeling inside, like the joy of knowing Tessa was pregnant again, a feeling of being intensely overwhelmed with happiness.
Tessa also clearly sensed his excitement, but only for a moment, as his face darkened again: "No wonder you've been throwing up so badly. There are two little ones tormenting you."
"That's called misplaced anger. The doctor said that twins and singletons have nothing to do with pregnancy reactions. My two babies refuse to take the blame for this." Tessa waved her hand dismissively.
