After Tessa called out, no one responded to her, but footsteps could be heard, though no one entered.
In the past, she would have stepped forward and opened the door to see who was there.
But now, she instinctively retreated, crossing her hands over her belly.
Just then, the door was pushed open from the outside, and a particularly deep, magnetic voice echoed in the room, "Tessa."
The familiar voice made Tessa's eyes widen, and she saw Faye walk in: "Faye..."
She stepped forward to greet him: "Why are you here?"
"I'm here to take you back," Faye reached out and held her hand.
Tessa was about to ask Faye if he saw anyone outside when Chuck pushed the door open and came in, holding a cup of warm water. Seeing Faye also there, he respectfully greeted him before handing the cup to Tessa.
Watching Tessa drink the water, Faye frowned, "Vomited again?"
