It would be dangerous to go home with a vampire so angry. They needed to let him let out his anger, at ease some of it anyway. The pain was evident. Losing a parent was hard, and seeing Zari fade away had to have had some impact on him so that they would give him a free pass with this.
"You need to let go, and we have to go home; think of all the people waiting to see us. Imagine the happiness on their face if we bring them back the three bunch of misfits, yeah?" Hera said to Zayn, gently getting him off of Mikhail and making him leave Pello alone.
It wasn't an easy thing, too, considering his anger has made his magic even more potent. It was like he had channeled everything he believed in and decided to act on it all.
Zayn was a good person, but pain turned people into monsters, and Hera had seen her fair share of them. She didn't want to go through that, and it always broke a person worse than he was broken anyway.
