The first beast they did the test on was a young female jaguar in the Saint Foundation realm. She was the daughter of one of Bai Jingshen's daughters. His daughter hadn't been born with enough of the bloodline, and thus had married one of the palace guards.
His granddaughter lacked most of the bloodline too, but she had just a hint of it, which was all that Alex really needed to test out his theory.
"Remember, if this fails, she needs to be taken to the Ancestral Pool immediately," Alex said. "I don't think we can rely on the Divine soul."
Bai Jingshen nodded. "Little Tuanxi won't fail."
"I won't, grandfather," the young jaguar said, projecting the utmost confidence in her voice.
Since she was ready, Alex began the task. He taught her what it was that she needed to do and had her start the process of Bloodline Consumption. Each time she cultivated with just a bit of the blood, her bloodline improved by leaps and bounds.
